Visited for work Christmas lunch - the entire experience from booking to paying was excellent! Booking / pre-order process was hassle free and allowed for changes even after deposit payment. Food (Christmas Menu) quality, taste, presentation and portion size were great all round, exceeded expectation for a "pub" Christmas lunch. Service levels from both bar staff and table service staff was friendly, helpful and not rushed - again exceeding expectations for any restaurant at this busy, stressful time of year! A fantastic pub, with great staff and lovely food! - Highly recommend for any occasion.

This was for a pre booked Christmas meal with family. Great food and service and the table looked nice with runner and crackers. The only thing missing was, once we were seated, no one came to just greet us and let us know how long food would be, etc. Otherwise everything was great. Thank you

Rooms nice and clean and staff very helpful. I have to leave a honest and fair review so here goes. Great welcome and plenty of parking. Superb stop off point for an early flight as airport is very close. A pint of San Miguel was as good as you will get anywhere and fair prices too. The meals we ordered in the bar were more than acceptable and served quickly. Every member of staff we met was helpful and friendly. We stayed in room 14 and the traffic noise was constant and noticeable throughout the night. The room was clean, warm and had all we needed though the bathroom was very cold. All in all well worth £85 a night and we would definitely stay again but would request not to be put in room 14 as its not ideal hearing traffic all night when you have an early morning flight.

A warm welcome - is sometimes just cheesy marketing BS But in my experience it's true. I was greated with a smile by 2 members of staff, and booked in promptly. The room although small is fine for me on my own away with work, clean and very well presented. Dinner was good, better then average pub grub and as expected a good choice of beer on tap. It was great to see a team who obviously worked well together and enjoyed what they do. Even though im at the front road noise isn't very bad as the windows are double glazed.

Booked a 1 night stay here as it is in a prime location to transit to the airport. Bar meal was nice. We had a lovely room (2 adults and 2 kids under 10) Room was very clean and had a fantastic revitalising shower! One of the comfiest beds I have ever slept in with a great pillow. Only gripes.... the room was really cold due to the single pane windows however heaters were provided so once they were up to temperature everything was good. Second gripe was the walls are super thin so if you have a neighbour next door you will hear them. We had some gentleman staying next door who didn't like sleeping much, liked smoking outside continuously and loved slamming doors and coughing their guts up. Apart from that it was great and we would stay again no doubt

Fantastic food. Best pub grub I’ve had in years. Great service. Lovely staff must say. Great timing considering they were busy. For a chain restaurant. This is fabulous food. I don’t normally leave good reviews. But I am very impressed by the quality of the food we loved it here and highly recommend it. Especially if you’re having a short stay near the area. This is the place to visit 5 star ⭐️ Thank you to the staff. Fish and chips AMAZING!!

We had a long journey from Suffolk to Bristol. When we arrived at the pub we were greeted with a smile and were booked in quickly and with no fuss. Our room was lovely with a feature fireplace. Food was great too. Next time we visit Bristol we would definitely book again.

We arrived later than we had hoped. The welcome from Rebecca was friendly and informative. Our room was no 7, at the front of the hotel so there was traffic noise so light sleepers may need to request a room at the back. The room itself was lovely, the bathroom was spotless, the hairdryer well placed by a mirror, personally couldn't fault it. We went down to the bar for a meal, we chose fish and chips which was tasty, ample and we thoroughly enjoyed. All the people we met were friendly and helpful. We are so glad we stayed here, and hopefully we will stay at the Fox and Goose again soon!

Although I haven’t stayed overnight, we held my mothers’s funeral reception here yesterday. The staff were were very friendly , especially Rachel whose support and suggestions were so helpful. The food provided was excellent, fresh and delicious . Everyone remarked how good the buffet was and we were very impressed. The venue itself was great, comfortable clean and homely . There was plenty of room for forty guests. I cannot recommend them highly enough. All my friends thought it was great too. Rachel was so accommodating and the whole team worked very hard. A brilliant venue with delicious food and excellent service.
