I stayed at Villacai for four nights and had such a wonderful time. The host, Dino, is a lovely person—very kind and attentive, and he did everything to make me feel at home. The accommodation is surrounded by nature and very peaceful, with only a few cars passing by in the morning, which wasn’t much of an issue. It’s an authentic countryside-style place, with a spacious shared area where you can cook your own meals if needed, and the shared bathroom is rarely busy. There’s a trail called Ty Sculpture Trail close by, perfect for a peaceful walk through the woods—just be cautious of cars when you're on the road. On my last day, Dino kindly offered me a lift to the bus stop, and we had a lovely conversation for hours. He truly is a wonderful person. However, if you prefer more privacy, this place is still ideal, as you hardly notice the presence of other guests during your stay. The single room was comfortable and cosy, with a lovely view of the garden and the town. I was able to work on my computer with ease. Don’t expect much luxury here—it’s a simple place offering just what you need, but Dino will make sure you’re treated as a special guest.

The host was so kind that he even gave us a lift with his car both in the evening and morning. We visited the zoo nearby, so it was the best option for accommodation.

After a long day, and having guesstimated my arrival time upon booking earlier in the day, I realised it wasn't looking likely. I called the hotel and spoke to the proprietor Dino to advise I'd be arriving later. The way he spoke to me, his manner, and reassurance made me feel I was in good hands. I had to walk there, reasons are irrelevant, but it was about 4 miles through walker unfriendly territory ie. no paths etc. Anyway, Dino saw me stumble up the driveway clearly wondering what animal has crawled up his path to die. Non-judgemental, his warmth as a person shone through right away, and ensured I was OK. He didn't even know I was a guest of his hotel, he was concerned about my wellbeing! Subsequently, I then spent an hour having a brilliant chat with him about all sorts and everything. A true gent! Highly recommend VillaCai! And I'll be recommending to friends and family without a doubt!
