Worst hostel ive ever stayed in. It was dirty, the bed sheets were all different and had stains on them. It was very difficult to find, and the only way i was able to find the entrence was by googling and finding someones review with a photo of the place. The day of arrival i received an email giving me the passcode to the main door and directions to get to my bed. Does this mean that anyone who stayed there before can get in? I dont know. The entire place was a labyrinth with no staff to help. I didnt know who was staff or who was staying there. It was very unproffesional. The toilets didnt have toilet paper or soap and the showers had mold all over the floor. I definitely wouldnt recommend anyone staying in this place!!

Worst hostel I've ever stayed In! I know it's just a cheap hostel but I still expect a level of comfort and professionalism. No one at reception during posted hours and I've tried a bunch of times over 2 days. Beds are lumpy old mattresses with the springs poking through and again I know this is a hostel but up to date cheap foam mattresses is my basic expectation. Bathrooms and kitchen are disgusting. No lockers. Internet barely works. The worst part is there was what I think are long term visitors or maybe even staff making a crazy amount of noise! Not having a good time until lateish or being a bit noise coming back from town but keep the whole room awake until 5am. This is barely a cheap place for a night, If your a backpacker looking for a comfortable fun place to stay look elsewhere. I'm checking out a day early even though I can't get my money back.

Booked on the phone with Victor, got booking reference and paid full amount as instructed. Chased receipt, nothing. Phoned a week ahead to confirm. Told by Victor that no booking made, sent bank statement to prove it plus reference. He said our rooms were booked for others and they only had 11 spaces left spread across multiple rooms, we had booked 15. Told him it's unacceptable, he just said he'd talk to manager. We found somewhere else and spent all day calling and emailing him but he didn't pick up or reply so we booked other place. Eventually spoke to him and asked for refund but he said no. Insisted he repay us but he said he'd found room for all of us (not what we booked but split across hostel). Still in dispute, very distressing. Avoid this hostel unless you want similar experience.

First time i've been in Bristol and "The Old Port House Bristol" is the place i stayed. What a great place i will say. Excellent price ratio, very clean and professional/approachable staff. Was just amazing. Will 100% recommend it to my friends and is definitely a place to stay.

Overall unimpressed. Really difficult to find: there is no sign outside nor on the bell. We had to ask at a restaurant nearby and than to a random person coming out from that door. Waited around 15 min at the empty reception until we called to a number for somebody to come. The guy didn't register nor check our passports, just took us to the room. Have been to much nicer and cleaner hostels for cheaper than this (£20)
