Lovely location for a Christmas meal. Good quality of food and a nice selection on the menu. Open for sirloin and it was delicious. The lads doing the serving were superb!

Be wary! My wallet got left there with a lot of cash in it. The receptionist (female - lovely) confirmed the money was there and I could come and pick it up. When it was picked up it was empty and my card has been used online. The manager said they did an internal investigation and no more is to be done. Essentially accusing me of trying to con them? I've opened a police report but obviously the staff member is still there. Utterly disgusting and disappointing.

As a Soho House member (and ex–First Class cabin crew who’s no stranger to polished service), I finally ticked Babington House off my list and it absolutely soared past expectations. I knew it would be lovely, but I didn’t expect to feel quite so instantly at home, or quite so reluctant to check out. The house itself is set in the most idyllic Somerset countryside, with grounds so beautiful they deserve their own passport stamp. From wildflower meadows to ancient trees and that gorgeous outdoor pool, it felt like a rural escape with all the little city comforts dialled in. There’s a sense of ease here—stylish but not showy, with staff who are warm, attentive and genuinely friendly. Not a trace of pretension, which, let’s be honest, can sometimes sneak into members’ clubs. Now, let’s talk food because I’d fly long haul for that seafood linguine. Everything I ate, from the garden-fresh salads to the rich, comforting puddings, was absolutely spot-on. The cocktails were equally impressive. I’m partial to a classic, and their house martini was stirred to perfection smooth, cold, and just the right amount of crisp. A proper pre-dinner take-off, if you will. The Cowshed spa is worth writing home about too. I booked in for a massage and genuinely floated out. I might’ve logged a few thousand air miles in my day, but even I was grounded in the best possible way after an afternoon there. All in all, Babington House is the first class cabin of country escapes: stylish, comfortable, quietly luxurious and full of heart. The kind of place where you instantly feel looked after and like you might just extend your stay.

A homely, inspiring retreat with excellent facilities and great attention to detail. The coziest Soho House I’ve visited! Very dog-friendly, with fantastic Cowshed treatments—but it would be even better if the Cowshed had its own proper sauna and steam room. The pool area isn’t warm enough, making it cold to walk between facilities, especially in winter. The outdoor wood-fired sauna is absolutely amazing, though the door could use better insulation. Food is superb, and in-room breakfast is a highlight. Don’t miss the cookies at turndown—an absolute must! Also, renting wellies for exploring the beautiful countryside trails is a great touch!

More enjoyable than Farmhouse. Wish it was easier to reach. A transfer service to closest train station would be great.

I had the pleasure of frequenting this location for a close friend's wedding. Thought the venue was amazing and the staff polite and very hard working. Thank you to all involved

Great place for an evening drink although staff could have been more proactive and efficient in the bar this evening,

We stayed for one night and loved the location but after a long drive we found the check in tedious and hectic. We were not shown around and just told to find a seat which was tricky as it was extremely busy. At 4pm they were still trying to fix a bulb in the bedside light. As we had a spa appointment and wanted to get changed we said we would manage without the light. The service and massage in the spa were excellent and I would give the team there 5 stars. We had an evening meal in the bar when it was much quieter but despite there only being 3 other tables in there and 4 members of staff around (one on their phone) it took 10 minutes to get a menu. They seemed to lack basic service skills in the main house which is surprising for the venue. For this reason we wouldn’t go out of way to stay there again but we did enjoy the setting and the spa.
