   Please do not use this company or its other company Wizz rental, booked a minibus online and paid for it, then got a call one hour later saying they couldn’t fulfill the booking and I would get a full refund, after around 10 days of waiting for the refund it finally came minus £36 for cancellation, it was them who cancelled, I have been trying to chase them but the owner Phil steer the guy who does the refund is on holiday in Spain, it’s a con please don’t use, use a company called maben hire, better vans better price and great customer service unlike these chancers

   Very simple process. Good communication and van was fit for the task. Only thing I would say was that the guide price on the website was very different from the formal quote. Actual prices are not particularly different from some of the bigger rental companies.

   We hired a van from here for a home move and the roof leaked causing water damage to my belongings and sofa. I contacted the company and was ignored for several days. When they finally replied they told me that they aren’t liable and I would need to claim on my home insurance. They clearly knew about the roof as they had applied clear mastic. The van was very shaky to drive and we informed them of this when we returned the van

   Rented a Luton van with a tail lift for a house move at the last minute as the booking I'd made with another rental company was cancelled when they went into receivership. Julie saved my life with exactly what we needed at a great price. Van was very clean and in good condition. Will always use this company in the future. Excellent 'no contact' key pick up and drop off. Very pleased.

   Hired a van within a few days notice for moving into my first flat. I trusted Thornbury self drive because the reviews everywhere looked great. I was not disappointed! Polite and friendly on the phone and recommended which van I needed, online booking system worked perfectly, van was immaculate and ready for me on the day with a full tank. I was nervous about driving it but it went great, obviously the vehicles are maintained to a great standard and you can tell the company really cares and has lots of attention to detail, ensuring that your hire process goes smoothly. Will use again. I will also recommend to all friends and family.

   Avoid! Returned the van at the time required and parked on the owners land. Took pictures and video for my own records to prove there was no damage to the van when it was returned. I'd heard of people being charged for damage that they hadn't caused so wanted evidence the van was fine when off hired. The van was checked by the owner 3 hours after the end of my hire period and I was charged £72 for a chipped windscreen. I've sent an email with photos and video showing that there was no damage to the van (these include the number plate of the van, the owners photo of the damaged van do not, so could be any van). I got no response. I then phoned and was told the owner was not there but would get back to me. That was two weeks ago and I've heard nothing. I can't challenge the payment as it's pre-authorised when you setup the rental agreement. All I hope is this puts other people off using this company so that they don't get scammed too.

   Stay away at all cost total thieves. Cancelled within an hour of booking and refused a refund had to go to legal channels to get money back. Now they are trying to use a collection agency to get money again. Dreadful company as other customers have said will do anything to steal a penny. Must be struggling
