   After a thorough process where we had valuations and conversations with all the local agents, and carried out our due diligence, we settled on the team at Reeds Rains to market our property. Something as important as selling your house involves many moving parts, one of which is instinct. After Steve’s initial visit where we explored our options and discussed valuation, we instinctively felt comfortable and professionally looked after. Steve’s relaxed, informative approach worked for us, and we happily tapped into his wealth of experience and knowledge whilst still feeling in control of what we wanted. We discussed many aspects of our marketing, one of which was the all important valuation. We concluded a realistic, sensible valuation and sell price which was at odds with some of the other wildly exaggerated valuations (both over and under) which we felt (and were proven) to be unachievable. We concentrated ourselves with showing the house in it’s best possible light and sold on the third viewing, achieving an over valuation sale price, such was the interest. Charlotte, Steve and Matt guided us through the process from offer to completion with patience, knowledge and a sense of calm which was badly needed when events elsewhere in the chain became frustrating. The team kept us abreast of everything and regularly checked in with us to make sure we understood and were happy with events as they unfolded. Events beyond our control in the chain elongated the process and we really did value the advice, sense of calm and focus the team shared with us. We got there in the end and we would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Reeds Rains as your selling agent. The after completion gift of wine (Badly needed!!), a surprise welcome box and fantastic flowers were a lovely touch and were very much appreciated. Additionally, we also used the ‘In house’ conveyancing team at Homefast Conveyancing and found their service to be competitive, professional and efficient. Local knowledge counts for so much in these situations and that, along with all the other qualities we’ve already mentioned make Reeds Rains your go to, for selling your home.

   My rental property was recently sold through Reeds Rains Portishead. The service was quite good, however having marketed the house at the price suggested, they wanted to reduce the asking price within a couple of weeks. I found that I needed to check on progress myself, as the agents didn't do anything to ensure the transaction was proceeding. That said, the property sold quickly and the sale went through to completion.

   To the Staff at Reeds Rains. Thank you for looking after me for approximately 13 years!! When I decided to rent out my family home, 12 years ago, you found me great tenants. Kelly and Tina have done a great job in fully managing the property, dealing with any issues and repairs and also making sure government legislation for rented properties was complied with. A special mention to Dave, your maintenance man, who has taken the worry off my shoulders and dealt with problems brilliantly and efficiently. Everyone should have a Dave they can rely on!! Reeds Rains helped us find our dream home in Portishead 11 years ago, working hard to make sure we exchanged and completed in just over a month. Great job guys. I approached Reeds Rains to see if you could help me buy a small property on a buy to rent basis. You found a perfect little house in Portishead Marina. And finally, Kieran has recently sold my family home, within a week of it being on the market. You all worked hard to achieve this sale.
