   Spent the day touring the Cotswolds with Matt (Galahad Tours) today (Oct 9, 2022). We had such a great day!!! Matt has a fantastic Mercedes Van that was the best, splendid seating and access, with a glass roof to enjoy the sunshine and watch the birds of prey soar through the air. We started in Bibury (which was the village we stayed at, taking in the famous Arlington Row. Then off to Lower and Upper Slaughter, where he showed us the church used in Downtown Abbey. It is such a beautiful village. Matt chatted with locals, which got us included in the conversation, making us feel welcome. He then sent us down a wonderful walking path, allowing us to experience the village lifestyle. Then a wonderful 'Sunday' lunch at a pub Matt knew of (and had made reservations for us), known as "The Trout" on Tadpole Bridge (OMG the food was fantastic)!! Then off to Lacock and a stroll around the Village, stopping at some shops and visiting a fabulous Tithe Barn (had to send photos to our daughters). Bought some tasty homemade Damson Plum jam at an 'honesty shop'. A stop a Castle Combes and another stroll with Matt around the village.. Matt knew his history, his way around and was just a great guy to hang out with. If you are wonder if a custom tour (or one of Matt's standard tours) are worth it, we can say we got our money's worth and then some!! Now we want to have Matt show us fantastic Bath!! Thanks Matt for a perfect October day!!!!!

   The Wells and Glastonbury tour exceeded our expectations which were quite high given the detailed description! Matt was friendly, knowledgeable and took the time to thoroughly answer our many questions. We knew nothing about Wells and were astonished that its beautiful cathedral and quaint town doesn't get more tourist attention. We felt like we had the place to ourselves. We also enjoyed our visit to Glastonbury and the hike to the top of the Tor. While Matt gave us time to explore by ourselves, he was also very attentive to our interests to make the tour personal. We never felt rushed, although we saw so much, and I took a million photos! We highly recommend this tour and tour guide/company!!

   I booked this tour as part of my vacation in the UK and I don't think it could have gone any better. Matt was extremely knowledgeable of the castle and local villages. We had more than enough time at every location and were able to beat the larger buses and crowds. We learned so much about the history of the area, the local flora/fauna, and even some of the wildlife. The van was extremely comfortable and cool in between traveling to different locations. Once the tour was over, Matt even recommended a local pub that had an amazing Sunday roast. I recommend to anyone who loves smaller and more personalized tours!

   This was by far one of the best private tours we have ever taken, and we took quite a few, in different countries. Matthias planned our day perfectly. Because it was the solstice, Matthias switched the order of where we would go that day so we avoid the crowds, and it was just right. He knows a lot of history and shared it in a fun and fascinating way, in both Salisbury and Stonehenge. We had lunch in a pub that has been in operation for hundreds of years, a true treat. Matthias is also a super fun person to be around and talk with, and made the day amazing for both of us. We can't recommend him enough, and will certainly schedule him again when we return to the area.

   My family and I took the tour of the Cotswolds, and it could not have been better! Matthias is incredibly knowledgeable and is an engaging storyteller! It was looking like it might rain in the afternoon on our tour, and Matthias went ahead and booked a reservation at a pub so we would have a backup plan! He was very thoughtful and planned a wonderful day for us! I would strongly recommend a trip with him!
