Sydney Gardens has so much going for it if you're a visitor to Bath. The Holburne Museum has an exit from their garden restaurant that takes you into Sydney Gardens and is also definitely worth a visit. You can find both of these locations on the Bath City Top Attractions list - available from pinpointeye Why not try out the Holburne Tour - it's a delightful canal path walk from the Holburne, through Sydney Gardens and along the canal path ending at Pulteney Weir - a video guided walk is also available for the walk from the same website.

Located behind the holburne museum, the garden has SWATHS of green and trees and gorgeous canals populated by ducks and swans. There are also a million dandelions scattered everywhere and a certain Jane Austen-esque vibe to the whole place.

Went for a winter walk here with the family. Even in January, the flower beds were well cared for, with plenty of clumps of snowdrops and hellebores. Some flowering shrubs, too. We played table tennis. Then we walked alongside the canal which runs alongside the park.

Beautiful gardens in Bath. With the Holborn museum at one end, and the Avon canal at the other. There are some interesting art sculptures and buildings. Although not huge, still a nice place to walk round or sit and enjoy the quiet.. There is a toilet block and kids play area at one side too.

Lovely gardens behind the Holbourne museum. A play area for children and walks along with benches for you to sit and read or relax and pass the time on a sunny afternoon. Gardens are well maintained and beautifully presented.

Sydney Gardens is a historical park near to the Holburne Museum at one end of Bath. It has the Temple of Minerva within the garden. Jane Austen visited Sydney Gardens while staying in Bath. The park has a children's playground and tennis courts. The Garden Cafe at the Holburne Museum is close by for tea coffee cakes and light lunches. The canal is accessible from the gardens.

Super wooden play structures in the play areas for children. Basketball shooters for older children. Tennis courts also. Large sand pit area with water pump and a wooden castle climbing structure for younger children. Great to have a Wessex Water free water refill for your bottles. Still get a wave from the train drivers while you wait on the bridge for the trains coming into Bath. The wonderful canal bridge just a bit further on. A lovely park for families.

This is a beautiful garden with many different historical pieces. I highly recommend you take advantage of the Mayor's corps of honorary guides to take a free tour through this garden. This garden was originally built in 1970 something and were funded by the public through a shares program. If you are not interested n the history, just take a nice walk. These are pleasure gardens after all.

Lovely public area and only a few minutes away from the city centre. Watch the trains and canal boats or just enjoy the gardens.
