“If I were to recommend a park to visit in Bath, Alexandra Park would be at the top of my list. Not only is it in a fantastic location with plenty of scenic walking trails leading to interesting spots, but it also boasts arguably the most stunning panoramic view of the city. On top of that, you can enjoy delicious coffee and pastries from Choux Box, and there’s plenty of space for dogs to run around. A must-visit!”
“This is a glorious, compact park full of mature trees that is maintained with the help of a band of dedicated volunteers. Perfect for anyone seeking to be inspired and consoled by nature. In the autumn, walk along the path beneath the canopy of century old horse chestnut trees. In the winter, enjoy the light filtering through the trees. In the spring, admire the beauty of the many cherry blossom trees. In the summer, sit in the cool shade of the rose covered arbor. Every season gives its own joy.”
“Beautiful National Trust site. Excellent walks with stunning views. Dyrham Park house is just stunning with beautiful gardens, church, and ponds. You have video history, tea rooms, and a mobility bus for the elderly and disabled. Really helpful, informative staff. We would highly recommend.”
“Lovely lodge everything you need. Kids very impressed with WiFi. Bistro on site amazing food and value for money cost online with any pub you go to staff all lovely. 15m drive to bath ( in bath no free parking for disabled and expensive ) Only complaint was did put on booking someone with mobility issue but parking on a slight incline (luckily the person with mobility issues didn't come) so was not a issue in this occasion but could of been. Curtains a bit frayed but no means spoilt the visit. Would def go back.”
“Beautiful in Autumn and a great play park, even for big kids.”
“Lovely site, all staff so friendly and facilities top quality. Shower rooms so clean and warm. Looking forward to our next visit”
“Beautiful and super conserved historical site. Tickets include audio guide with so much information. I'd recommend at least 2h for your visit if you want to take it all in and not rush.”
“Authentic pizza. Freshly baked. Really appreciate the great hospitality from the staff, Mimi. Nice outdoor seating too. Spacious. Will definitely visit again. Exceptional service.”
“You get some spectacular views from the inclines in this park! Obviously, that also means it can be a bit of a steep walk to get up to, if something like that bothers you. It has a playground and lots of space to just relax. Recommended”
“Beautiful, peaceful place. We sat under the trees on the hottest afternoon, and listened to the band playing. Sublime. We often visit and are never disappointed.”
“A beautiful spot to tour and relax in Bath. The entrance is an easy bus ride or an uphill walk. Staff and volunteers are friendly and informative. I went at opening time and had the place mostly to myself for a bit and it never became crowded. The walk around the park is nice and worth doing, but not a must-do. My favorite part was sitting in on the reclining chairs reading and enjoying the view and the birds.”
“Fantastic food. Very friendly and happy staff members upon arrival and during service. Ella cooked my food brilliantly and set me up perfectly for the rest of my day. The backroom staff Rory, Emma and Tony all came in to check up on me throughout my meal and stay, just ensure it was to my liking. I can highly recommend this place to anyone who is passing by or to anyone living locally. Who doesn't know about this place I'm definitely coming back!”
“Nice Garden Centre with all the expected plants and products. In addition, there is an aquatic and pet section and areas for novelty and decorative items. There was a nice selection of wines and food products. We were going to pop into the cafe but it was very busy.”
“Outside and weather dependant but we had great conditions. It was popular and a real treat for my family. Glad we got the family ticket for £50 and then 1 more child plus booking fee. Some just paid on the day and queued. An hour is enough. There were enough skates for everyone. Good times and good vibes. Merry Christmas!”
“Customer Service was fantastic, Man come out within a hour,so polite and clean( put all sheets down), explained everything,Cleared blockage.”
“Came in here for lunch. The service was good and very quick. We ordered the bacon and cheese burger with fries. I didn't enjoy the sauce which came with the burger, the rest of the burger was delicious. It was a fair size and a really good price. The bacon and cheese burger was only £12.”
“Our 2nd visit, this is such a great spot to base a trip to Bath. The park itself is tidy and well run, the booking is essential but its easy and the reception on arrival is friendly and efficient. The pitches are level firm and have electric. the spacing is fine. It is a popular venue and on both of our visits September and December the park was full it is mainly campers but some caravans too. The facilities are clean and were warm toilets and showers. The site is so well placed, and it is an easy walk along the river path to two local pubs, both very good. Getting in to the city on foot on bike or using the park and ride buses which are cheap regular and just a few minutes walk away. We will be back for sure.”
“Great small classes. Tailored to the group. Lovely instructors and staff.”
“Wow! Incredible breakfast rolls! Lovely friendly staff Will go out of my way to visit again, Well worth checking out!”
“My son and a large group of his friends from a grass-roots football team had a social event held here. They enjoyed bowling and putify and was well fed with chips and pizza. All in all a great choice for such an event and would definitely recommend.”
“Our first time and we loved it. We ordered lots of different food to try and we could not fault it. It is a little expensive but everything has gone up in price. Would we order again, yes we would. We really enjoyed the Katsu Curry. I would also like to point out that the customer service was very good. A lovely friendly bunch thank you”
“A beautiful aquaduct spanning over the river and railway line. A nice but short walk from the nearby car park. Good trail leading from the car park so easy to push prams, wheelchairs etc. Interesting to see the barges going back and forth. Nearby is a café for teas, coffees, snacks and ice creams. A stunning location for this amazing piece of engineering.”
“We absolutely love it here. There's so much to do for the dogs. My dogs love the sandpit. Its really easy to organise online and when I needed further help, they returned my query really quickly. There's a beautiful view to enjoy whilst walking the dogs too. Couldn't recommend enough.”
“If you ever wanted to explore bath and have a great room and an incredible breakfast, this is your place. We walked to town, which is about a mile away, although you can get a cab if you want. There's so much to explore the Roman baths and a real life Roman bath set up called "THERMAE" for you to have all the amenities that the Romans would've enjoyed.”
“What a delight! So glad we stopped in. Delicious food, perfectly cooked. Great glass of wine and beers. What a team running this lovely pub - we can’t wait to be back! Thanks for a lovely afternoon Fairfield Arms.”
“My favourite stop between Bristol and Bath. Absolutely beautiful and a lovely attraction to add to your journey. Cheap prices and a fantastic range of different meals I am stunned at what they can provide! A wonderful place to stop if you're cycling past on the Bristol / Bath Cycle Path. There is also a fantastic charity called wheelers that runs next to the waiting rooms that helps people with accessibility needs enjoy the wonders of cycling, I would highly recommend!”
“Lovely gardens behind the Holbourne museum. A play area for children and walks along with benches for you to sit and read or relax and pass the time on a sunny afternoon. Gardens are well maintained and beautifully presented.”
“I visited Bath for the day and didn't really feel at ease until I stepped into the garden. Quiet, peaceful, and only steps away from the city.”
