Just phoned up and spoke to Zack, unfortunately he could not help but went to the bother of checking other stores and was as helpful as he could be. Thanks Dave

Good selection. Small shop so difficult to social distance when it's busy.

Always a bargain. Quality mostly better than just ok . Value for money. Dont ever forget "You get what you pay for in life", getting good quality long lasting clothing these days is really difficult. For example I have shirts purchased elsewhere that have lasted 35yrs but dont expect to find these nowadays, and even if I did would I want to pay the inevitable high price? Staff always pleasant and efficient. Store seems to have a permanent sale on with items rarely selling at full marked price, loads of Bogof offers as well. Transparent pricing would be nice? But thats the market.

The manager of this stall (Matt), has NO managerial experience. Avoid this stall at all costs. I took in a faulty product, the faults were very clear to the eye, but was told by him that they were not faults!! The bag was falling apart after one use!!! Very bad experience.

Disgusting customer service and poor quality products. We first bought two pairs of the Discovery Mens Extreme Waterproof IsoGrip Boots in a size 9 and took them to a Torr In Devon to see how well they would do. As soon as we started walking, the right shoe on both pairs started to turn in on its self leading to both our ankles being in extreme pain after our walk. We called the store and the lady in the phone explained she thought it was very odd and that we weren’t being honest about the boots performance. We took the boots in store and the assistant could clearly see that we were telling the truth and he apologised then offered us a store credit for the shoes. With this store credit we decided to get things for our trip to New Zealand. We bought two rain coats, two bottles, a sewing kit, first aid kit and two hiking bags. Although Sad about our shoes, we were happy to have the new equipment and decided to go on a weeks camping to trial it out. None of it lived up to its name. The bags we bought (Ventura 40L Rucksack) had two very hard plastic prongs at the bottom of the bag that dig so forcefully into our backs, so much throughout the week it caused painful bruising and on my partners right side it broke his skin and he began to bleed. Then around the seam of both pull cords to get into the bags frayed exposing a lot of messy stitching. The jackets we bought (Fell Mens 3 in 1 Water Resistant Jacket) in a Small and Medium leaked at the first bit of rainfall, my partner and I were soaked through and they provided no resistance from the rain. Not to our surprise, we then experienced a leak from one of the water bottles getting our maps and documents soaking - by this point we were so so incredibly upset at the poor quality of mountain warehouse products. We took our bags into the Stroud Branch as the ladies on the till explained that the manager was on his break but will be back in 30 Minutes. They were very kind and agreed that our experience has been awful. They even agreed and verified that the seams were torn and that the bags plastic prongs looked odd at the bottom of the bags. We explained our experience to the manager (Matt) and the disrespectful way he treated us took our breath away. He had no interest in hearing about how disappointed we were with the products he was selling and quickly said there was nothing wrong with the bags. My partner and I experienced such bad bruising to the bottom of our backs and he point blankly said the bags did not fit us. When we bought the bags we asked for help and advice and the assistant said they were a great fit. I am a size medium and my partner is a size small, the bags fit us fine - they were just faulty. I asked him to please try it on and feel how bad they hurt you whilst wearing them and he said he will not do that as he didn’t believe us. I am appalled and shocked at his complete disregard for us and more importantly for our back safety. It’s disgusting. I would advise anyone wanting to buy any of these products to stay well away. Also stay away from the store as the customer service from the manager is so poor. We have since bought North Face bags, boots, jackets and water bottles and they are of such high quality ready for our trip. This store does NOT produce items fit for purpose. I have made another complaint to head office and also a detailed complaint to trading standards - who have now replied and confirmed they are starting an investigation. The worst experience ever, and right before we were about to hike in New Zealand!!
