Extremely welcoming and full of friendly people. There's a nice mix of abilities, ages and genders in the classes so you can learn from the people around you whilst not being in an intimidating environment. All the instructors are great, really helpful and informative. Very reasonably priced too. Been training here for nearly a year and always look forward to the next class each week!

Simon and the team are friendly and enthusiastic! For anyone looking to join the club, Masters Academy is one of the best in Bristol!

I joined this club two months ago and have loved it ever since. Both my co-ordination and balance have already improved. Simon and Lewis are very welcoming and patience with new starters making you feel at ease from the get go. My friends have since joined and I would highly recommend to anyone considering it.

This was my first time training a combat sport so safe to say I was a total beginner... the coaches made me feel so welcome, lending me kit for the first few sessions and making sure I had a partner to learn the basics with! Super friendly & inclusive club, all the members are lovely. They explain things very well and I really enjoyed seeing my progress thanks to them!

  2. James Sedgwick-Wilde ★★★★★

Really friendly club that offers classes in Escrima and Kickboxing (that mixes Kali and Thai boxing techniques). You can progress at your own rate, and if it takes your fancy you can start sparring and even competing.

  3. Darren ★★★★★

If you want to learn a unique martial arts system in a really welcoming environment with instructors that really know their stuff, then this is the place for you!

Great instructors and a friendly, welcoming environment. It's a fun but challenging way to learn martial arts and a great way to improve fitness.

  2. Alex Holsgrove ★★★★★

I would definitely recommend this club to anyone interested or experienced in kickboxing/FMA. I joined soon after moving to Bristol and it’s a friendly club with no macho bullsh*t! The head coaches Mark and Simon are clearly passionate about teaching and have a huge amount of experience to share. There is an emphasis on learning proper technique but with skills put into practice and not just endlessly drilled in a line.

Great academy! I've been going here for four years! Its a great place to meet people and very friendly. It's just the right amount of pushing yourself and matching to your abilities. The classes matches to a range of abilities from beginners to advanced. Highly recommended!!!
