Booked a taster session and had a brilliant experience. Both my husband and I really enjoyed it - it was my first time shooting, but I had a great time and got a fair few clays. My husband had shot once before, but also really enjoyed it. A big shout out to Mike who was a fantastic, patient instructor and great fun! And Helen who looked after us through the booking process and on the day.

As a visitor from the USA, I found Lady's Wood to be an excellent introduction to British clay shooting. If you're in Bath or the Cotswolds, I don't think you'll find a better shooting experience nearby. Their website is detailed and modern, and they responded quickly to my online inquiry. Helen is an absolute delight both over email and in person, and made me feel very welcome in the clubhouse. The prices are higher than most US shooters will be used to, but if you want to shoot in the UK I think it's a very good value for money. The clubhouse is handsome and comfortable and the grounds are immaculate, somewhere between a garden and a forest. Kudos to the ground's manager, Richard, for keeping the outdoor spaces in such good order. Being without a shotgun certificate, I appreciate that Lady's Wood offers a caddied practice option so that visitors like myself can enjoy shooting without paying extra for instruction. I found the targets to be well set and challenging enough to make me work for the breaks. And of course I loved shooting incoming "driven" targets of their 40-yard tower! Next time I'd love to try the extreme tower.
Fabulous settings with peacocks makes for a terrific visit and experience would recommend. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the shooting venue is changed regularly, this makes for a great day out .
over the summer I've enjoyed several excellent stimulated days with Ladyswood shooting School. The locations have all been 1st class offering some excellent shooting with some challenging drives. Chris and his team run the day superbly well and I can't recommend there SIM days highly enough for those that enjoy these kind of days, we are always made to feel very welcome and above all they are just great fun.
An extremely impressive and professional shooting school and club, amazing facilities, ground and staff and very welcoming to a group of novices. We joined Lady Wood's for an afternoon of clays. Most of the group of 8 had never held a shotgun before, yet in such great hands and under trusted supervision, everyone had a tremendously good time. Special thanks to Helen for frequent correspondence and flexibility in booking and also to our guide/supervisor Mike for his great humour and for having us all shoot some clays! I very much hope to visit again in the future!
