Unfortunately I'm distressed and disappointed with thier customer service. My partner was buying 2 NON ALCOHOLIC ciders, while me and our 15 years old son were buying weekly shopping on another self-service till. The assistant (unfortunately I don't know her name) behaved very agresively and unprofessional, she turned to me and our son and said "I need ID'S from ALL OF YOU". Excuse me? since when I need to show my ID if my partner is buying, and since when my kid has to show his ID , while his father is buying non alcoholic cider using another till. I was ready to make a big fuss about it, but it was nearly closing time and we were very tired after a long working day. I do regret I didn't make a scene on the spot.

Aldi on Aylestone Road, Leicester is a top spot for affordable shopping with a huge range of products. You'll find fresh fruit and veg, British meats, sustainable fish, chilled and frozen foods, snacks, drinks, and a full food cupboard selection. There are also household essentials, baby and toddler items, pet care, and health & beauty products. The Specially Selected range offers premium options at great prices, and vegetarians and vegans are well catered for too. One of the highlights is the famous middle aisle, where you'll discover Aldi’s Specialbuys—seasonal bargains and limited-time deals on everything from homeware and kitchen gadgets to garden tools, toys, clothing, and even DIY supplies. These offers change regularly and often come with big discounts, so there’s always something new to grab. The store is clean and well-organized, with friendly staff and self-checkout for a quick visit. There’s free parking, but no bakery or customer toilets. If you’re after value and variety, Aldi Aylestone Road delivers every time

Few years ago the best place to shop and really amazing prices but now shopping from Aldi you may as well shop from Asda most of the prices are nearly the same . They stopped doing coffee bags also stopped doing steamed frozen veg rice. it’s just to bloody expensive to shop anywhere now days . I understand you need to make a profit but how much profit to you need to make . hope you guys and change things around and make it affordable for people to shop again instead of haveing a look at the price tag again

At the end of 2022 prices started going up. There were no more cheap eggs for 1,18£, only eggs for 2,09 £, but still you could get a lot of things for reasonable prices, for example, a box of blueberries for just 0,89 p, a bag of onions for 0.65 p, a cucumber for 0.59 p, a pack of bananas 5pk for 0, 71 p., a box of baby plum tomatoes for 0.69 p. etc. However, in March 2023 the prices are still rising. For example, Rapseed Oil 500 ml costs 2,39 whereas in December 2022 it cost less than 2 pounds.

I really want to show my appreciation for Cameron and Robert. Cameron was so lovely as to keep my shopping for me when I forgot to bring a big enough bag one time. I had to go all the way home and come back but he kept my shopping in the back as he promised to, and I appreciated it so much as I had the last Sweet Chilli Hummous. He is a stand up guy. And Robert is the kindness, loveliest cashier. He always has a smile on his face and gives amazing customer service and has great hair. Also sorry to everyone for always coming in late.

Good place to shop especially if want to save a few pennies when compared to the other supermarkets. Staff are always friendly and helpful and do a great job. My only issue is that a few times the pricing can be confusing on certain products and alot of the fruit and veg i've bought found to be mouldy a couple of days later. My advice is to get the fruit and veg and eat it on that day. Another issue is the baskets, as when you check out there is no proper place to put them which can frustrating when you have other customers behind you.
