I recently visited here with a large group of friends, and our experience was exceptional. Despite our party of nearly 20 people, the staff managed everything with great efficiency and friendliness. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. A special mention goes to UPKRITI❤️ who was absolutely amazing. Her attentive and cheerful service stood out, and she went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. To top it off, she even provided us with a discount, which was a delightful surprise. The food was authentic and delicious, offering a true taste of Indian cuisine. Every dish was flavorful, well-presented, and satisfying. We were all very impressed with both the quality and variety of the menu. Overall, this place provided us with a fantastic dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and excellent service with variety of food. We will definitely be returning!

Do not eat here. Serious lack of food options, which are cheap, poor tasting, and thrown together. Most of the food was cold. Nothing is labelled properly or has what the item contains. For example, the spring rolls just said spring rolls, not the ingredients or what type they were. Felt very ill when leaving and definitely won't be going back. Way to expensive and isn't worth the price. Would be better to cook it all at home. Didn't have a welcome when entering was just told to "sit down." Wasn't even seated had to find a free table ourselves. The atmosphere isn't very nice, taped floors and dirty counters, tables left covered in plates/glasses (we were there for like 25/30 minutes still left there). I'm just very disappointed. The vibes were off, too. Spent most of the time, waiting for food to come out rather than eating. Refills were flat and watered down to save money. Definitely don't recommend.

Lovely restaurant, went for valentines day and it was one of the only places to look the part, had an initial small issue but speaking to the manager he was more than happy to help us. Was very sincere and helpful, will definitely be recommending to a friend, food was lovely, fresh and varied , can tell they put effort into every dish, with additional fresh food on request!! (small note if you do get cold easily just ask to be placed further in the restaurant on arrival : ) ) will come again thanks for a lovely special evening !!

*very disabled friendly* Just had a fantastic lunch at this awesome restaurant. Being an absolute newbie to spicy food, Raj the manager, took me on a little tour of the various foods on offer and explained a few things I needed to know. It was really nice having the central cooking station, watching food cook and talking to staff. The food was lovely, varied and hot. Toilets were good, assisted handles in the regular toilet as well as disability toilets. Very happy to see this. All level access. Raj made this visit just that little bit better by reminding me about the free parking. Due to my disability, I would have totally forgotten lol

Been here several times now and although i always enjoyed it, yesterdays visit was the best yet. As we arrived, i could see there was a member of waiting staff checking food that was already displayed on the serving counter. The lady at the bar greeted us with a big smile, and seated us straight away and got our drinks. It was very quiet upon our arrival, but this changed very quickly and soon it was filling up with hungry customers. There was a good feel to the place, with two table waiting staff taking drinks orders and clearing your plates as you finish. (This is a definite improvement) Food has also improved. I am unsure how to put my finger on how, because we always enjoyed, but the quality is just better now. There wasn't anything I ate that I didn't enjoy, and I always find a few things that I don't like. The chef for the live cooking station was in the kitchen out the back when we arrived, but that is to be expected if we were only the second customers to be seated, but a member of staff did get him and he greeted us and took our orders. Great food, for the price paid. We are already returning customers, but we will now be recommending Spice Route to others.

First visit in a long while. Front of house was welcoming with a warm smile. Allowed us to find our own seat and explained the buffet. There aren't many selections compared to JCR or others, however it's also £3 cheaper. The food is mainly Indian and some live wok cooking with veg, beef, prawns and chicken options. 4 star for cleanliness, friendliness and pricing.
