Kindly reduce the amount of salt you add to your tilapia fish. This is my third experience with your tilapia fish and they are all too salty, difficult to eat, waste of money

I’ve been ordering from Miyaki for almost three years now, mostly through Uber Eats and occasionally via pickup. The food? Absolutely brilliant. Their jollof rice and fish combo has been a personal favorite, and they definitely know how to season and portion their dishes generously. However, my recent experiences with their staff have left a bitter taste that not even their pepper seasoning could mask. On July 26th, 2025, I placed a Uber Eats order for jollof rice and fish, with a side of fish. What I received was two large portions of fish — which might sound like a bonus, but it wasn’t what I ordered. I went to the restaurant the next day to address the mix-up. Instead of an apology or simple acknowledgement, the manager (or someone acting in that role) looked at me as though the mistake had been mine. I chalked it up to shock and moved on. The real disappointment came when I called to speak about a parking fine I received during a pickup. Despite being a regular customer for years — and having picked up without issue for the last two — I was met with hostility. The person who answered the phone rudely asked if I was new to Leicester, implying I should’ve known some unwritten rule about vehicle registration. Instead of genuine help, I got sarcasm and attitude. A little professionalism goes a long way. I’ve worked in hospitality for over six years and understand how to speak to customers — with courtesy and respect. If Miyaki values its loyal clientele, staff training and customer service improvements are urgently needed. It’s not hard to put up a sign, update the Uber Eats listing with a parking notice, or simply ask a customer if they’ve registered their vehicle when picking up. Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service: ⭐️ Until things improve front-of-house, I’ll be sticking to delivery only — and cautiously.

This is the best African food spot in Leicester. I often order online but today I came in and had the jollof, spicy fish and plantain, it was absolutely amazing. Everything was perfect. Usually I get the pounded yam and okra or others and it’s perfect. Glad I tried something new today. 10/10 recommend, feels like home

Is this £15 worth in your opinion? Now the Efo riro was fairly portioned but you can’t tell me £15 gets me this much Egusi with 3 pieces of meat! It could taste like heaven for all I care but you have to be fair with the portions size!

They got a phone number that don’t response, a facebook that don’t response, I live next to the restaurant, three black girls was shouting and screaming outside, I tried to get in contact with them to stop those girls, cause they were for sure got drunk in their bar, as they were get in and out of the bar just for tissues. It is ridiculous nobody came outside due to those screaming. It is like they are fine having this kind of clients. I am pregnant and I got cramps after just because those girls woke me up in the night. It is embarrassing having between us this kind of persons, and the bar accepting this kind of attitude around the bar were they got drunk. I was going next week to try their food with my husband he love this kind of food, but just because of this thing, I’m not going to go ever in that restaurant. Feel very disappointed

Could do more in improving waiting time!!! Definitely an awesome spot for the best Nigerian/African/Afro-centric dishes within Leicester! You get that taste of home away from home from the first bite to the last crumble! You will get your moneys worth & your taste buds will thank you!!! Every meal on the menu is a treat!

I was my first and last visit to this restaurant. The server was rude from the start. The service was slow and when the door arrive, the rice was cold and not enough meat on the plate for £14. The food was not worth the money I paid for it. Overall I cannot recommend this place. Spend your hard earned cash else where

The service was a bit dismal to be honest. However, the food was amazing. The flavours are just right and the portions very generous. The cost is reasonable all round. Overall worth revisiting.

You could almost be in Nigeria to experience the slowness of service, the lackadaisical attitude and very basic & unclean surroundings. Having said that, the food was excellent....we had the fish & rice which was very tasty & fresh. After the initial shock & worry about "what have I done" I actually enjoyed the experience. The staff were initially unwelcoming, but we're very concerned to ensure we enjoyed the food. I am not sure if I would return, but do you know....I might.
