Ordered for delivery here for the first time as the food looked promising and options were great. Only issue is we never received our order. Initial wait time was up to an hour which I had no issue with but then the wait time exceeded an hour. When calling to get an update on the order we were repeatedly told “only 5 minutes for delivery”. I had waited outside our property in the cold freezing weather for 20 minutes and no one had turned up. After calling again - keep in mind it’s been well over an hour since placing the order - this excuse was given: “sorry it’s only 5 minutes you’ve already called before and we are sending your order now”. Did we get the order? Nope. Another 15 minutes waiting for the food and after calling again for the 3rd-5th time we are finally told the truth. Turns out the order was never made and they blamed the shocking service on mixing up our order with another within the same area (so I guess more than one customer cannot order in the same post code area as one will not receive their food???). At this point they suggested actually making our order and sending it out (of course it would take up to another 30 minutes) and throwing in a free item for compensation. 2 hours we had waited for a small order. Absolutely shocking service. Instead of being honest and admitting they had not started on our order they misled us by repeatedly claiming the delivery driver is 5 minutes away, to then finally tell the truth and to pretty much say that they probably can’t make the order anyways as the kitchen will close soon. Need I say any more? Disappointing.

Really tasty food really enjoyed it there. We went for a friend's birthday with quite a large group. We were upstairs and some of my friends advised that they were quite cold so keep that in mind if you struggle with the cold. It was all relatively cheap and you got great big portions. My friend had some trouble finding anything vegan on the menu, and the staff struggled in recommending anything suitable. Plenty of vegetarian options, however. They had a poor selection of wines but that's a nitpick. I'd definitely go again. Staff were all very friendly and it all looked very clean and professional.

Ive eaten at Kimochi before and loved it, but never knew how to use the BBQ, so didn't order thevraw meat before. This time we went on a Sunday when it wasn't busy and the guy who served us was really helpful, showing us what to do and making some great food suggestions. I highly recommend the beef bulgogi and the seafood pancakes! Unfortunately the beef went so quickly I didn't have time to get a photo, it was that good!

We had a stunning meal at Kimchi. We ordered the beef bulgogi, kimchi pancake, kimchi fried rice and chilli chicken - everything was delicious. And very good price. For the four dishes and three drinks it came to £50. The waiter was really lovely and very helpful.

My family and I were looking for a perfect birthday place for me and we came across this Korean barbecue, we never tried Korean food so this was new to us, but this restaurant filled all our expectations and more! This place was beautiful, it was traditional and amazing, the server lady was so nice as well as the other servers, they were so polite and attentive to us and always made sure we were happy with what we got. Food wise it was delicious, the food was large in portions and seasoned beautifully. Everything was set out neatly and conveniently! 100% would recommend eating here, food, service and the building in itself was and is a 10/10!

Ok. So we *really* wanted to have a Korean BBQ and were so excited to see that there was one in Cardiff. There were some reviews that made us a bit worried but we tried it anyway. Note that they only accept cash. But there is a cash machine about 100m along the road. So really not a problem. I am so glad that we did. This is a small family run business. The staff were very courteous. The food was awesome. The place was super busy and this was mid week. We left having had a great meal and also felt so happy to have supported a small business rather than a random chain. Highly recommend.

Overall pretty decent, but some of the food was a bit bland (kimchi was too light in taste). Service was ok, the waitress who served us was quite friendly. There’s a decent amount of meat with the BBQ items so it was very filling. The quality of the meat was on par with the price we paid. I had to ask for ssamjang (sauce you have with the meat), which I would have expected to have come with the food as default, but they provided on request. Value was not bad for the meat, but I find the sides expensive, especially considering they are mediocre.

Disappointing. It’s not an authentic korean restaurant the food was tasteless and it had not much to do with Korean food (perhaps it comes close to Chinese food). When I asked to pay, the owner said it was cash only but I had no cash so he let me paid by card.
