Service was quite fast and the price was good, the rice was universally hard and the curry didn't come with a huge amount of meat, sauce was well seasoned though. Naan bread was nice but the inion bhajis i would not recommend.

I’m beyond angry. As a Muslim we are taught not to steal; this shop does nothing but that to customers. I just got a curry and lamb chop starter. Curry was ok, could do with more chicken but that’s ok… Lamb chops though? 2 for just under £6..not edible, first and foremost described as “tandoori” they certainly are not but above that the smell of the fat made me throw up. Please see the photos and just look at these chops. I feel robbed, shame on you real shame .

Usually I’m not someone to complain but tonight I’m very disappointed, I’ve always ordered here since living in Leicester but unfortunately tonight was not a good occasion, the butter chicken which usually is a very nice mild taste was spicy, the naan bread was burnt and the korma was runny and not as thick as it usually is, the entire order took 1hour 30 to be delivered and I had the reason of football however the delivery driver then said it’s because he had multiple drops prior

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN – Simply Indian is an absolute disaster of a takeaway, and after my nightmare experience, I want to save everyone the regret, potential food poisoning, and outright racism. I ordered a £40 feast for 10 people – curries, chicken, lamb, naan, the works. What arrived was inedible garbage: the chicken and lamb were grossly overcooked, tough as leather, and bland beyond belief, the kind of stuff that could easily make you seriously ill. The naan? Charred black and burnt to a crisp, completely ruined. I rushed it all back to the restaurant in its original containers, and instead of an apology, their staff had the audacity to tell me the food “isn’t for Indians, it’s for white people” – yes, despite their own name being Simply Indian. They argued with me, refusing to even taste it themselves because, as I suspect, they knew damn well it was shit. I wasn’t complaining about some minor sauce issue like they claimed; it was the overcooked, flavorless slop that could poison anyone who ate it. Their customer service was beyond terrible – rude, dismissive, and shockingly discriminatory. I messaged the owner, who promised a full refund within 3-5 working days and even asked for my Santander bank details to BACS it over. That was over 10 working days ago now, and nothing. No refund, no update – just radio silence after I followed up politely. I had a conversation with the owner over the phone, where he started to harass me, telling me I was lying despite the food being generally shit. This place doesn’t deserve your money, your trust, or even a second thought. The food is dangerously bad, the service is a racist joke, and the owner is a liar who ghosts on refunds then bullies customers. One star is generous – avoid Simply Indian like the plague it serves.

Ordered butter chicken and it was so sweet and felt like was eating coconut syrup and dint look like butter chicken at all. Being a Goan I Ordered lamb vindalo and it was spicy like that said on the menu but nowhere close to vindalo it was similar to butter chicken only difference is it was spicy . I will never ever order anything from here. Spend 40 pounds while I was hungry and it disappointed me to my core ,took me half day to earn 40 pounds but I wasted them on this restaurant .

I ordered chicken tikka, as a starter as I didn't want a full meal. It tasted gorgeous, looked great, tasted amazing. Same with the poppadoms, absolutely lovely. Would definitely recommend. Staff/ owner lovely and approachable. Great place to get quality food.

Used to love this place, ordered last night, been charged twice... food took ages to arrive (over 1 hour) and was pretty inedible when it did. Total waste of money

We tasted several of their meals, each one being delicious and tasty. An amazing discovery which will be visited often in the future!

I have ordered from this restaurant a few times now the last being on Saturday. Each time I have ordered, the food has been pleasantly packaged, piping hot and very tasty. The Chilli Garlic chicken is yummy and they have started doing set meals which are worth it. Portions are off a good size and the menu has a variety of dishes. Delivery was quick (considering it was a Saturday) and the driver was pleasant. Will definitely be making this my local Indian go to. Thanks and keep up the good work!
