   Wonderful country pub, great atmosphere, service and selection of beers. Good food menu & excellent food. Service is outstanding, welcoming and friendly. Log burner and low beams adds to the Wonderful cosy atmosphere. The hotel section of this pub is also outstanding.

   A most welcoming, comfortable country pub/hotel with excellent food. Family-run over generations and dating back centuries, the rooms are an addition and very quiet and spotless. A large car park is to the rear, up a slight slope, but no steps. The bar has a log fire and the restaurant offers a 'must-have' home-made pie - check in advance it's available (it's that good!)

   Sunday lunch awful. . We complained and was told the other liked it. Don’t go here. It was carvery, we sat down ordered drink thane told table service. The vegetables were charred , the gravy was over peppered. Yorkshire pudding , defibetly shop bought not freshly or catering std. Awful.

   Had a meal here with friends a couple of weeks ago. We had a warm welcome and a very friendly and helpful hostess. Food was lovely and good value. I would recommend the pie. Will return again.

   We had a wonderful lunch with friends on Sat 24th March. Our table was laid and a we had a lovely welcome on arrival from Caroline. Our beagle also behaved herself and we had a great 3-course meal! The steak pie was amazing, and the fish and chips, and the lamb shank! Drinks selection was good too! We'd definitely go back! Thanks Caroline & Team! "Woof!", says Sumner our beagle.

   Admittedly we didn't stay at the hotel. So this feedback is only for carvery. As instructed on their web site regarding 'Gluten Free and Dairy Free '. foods. I called in advance to check what we could have ; went to effort of explaining to person on the phone , was told what we could and couldn't have , fine at least we knew , turn up on Sunday and it was clear , they hadn't even listened to my request day before or forgot to plan in advance. Not good as it limited what my son could have.
