Multiple occasions been very sick after having food from here. Had to wait half an hour recently when there was no que, for cold food that was clearly reheated and still not hot. Nedles to say was very ill again the day after. They even got the order wrong. Waste of a chip shop, shame as its our village chippy. If ran properly this shop could be an absolute gold mine. Many many people in the village feel the same way. We will never be ordering from here again until they get there act together. I do hope this review helps and they will change the way they operate

Paid nearly £30 for 2x cod, a mini cod, sausage and chips. I threw away about £25 of it. Chips are dry and tasteless. The fish is half the size of elsewhere, overcooked and greasy - quite an achievement. I really do think people should have to pass a qualification to run a fish and chip shop. They are being ruined the length and breadth of the country through a combination of high prices (largely forced upon them) and shrinking standards. My last visit to this place I’m sad to say.

Been on the hunt for decent chips for ages. Most seem rubbery and a bit weird tasting if they have been sitting for a bit. We heard good things being said about this place and gave it a try. Chips cooked to order, piping hot and tasty. Fish looked good so will be having some next time. Really happy we found you and worth the drive from Dunchurch. Thank-you for making the effort to serve great food.

Been here twice what a great place for great food. And the portions were so big would feed 2 people. Would definitely recommend here for your food.

Ordered a mixed kebab as it was chicken tikka pieces and not only tasted amazing but the car they put into making it as I watched was like nothing I’ve seen a takeaway place do before. Shame I live so far away otherwise would definitely be a regular here!

Had a lovely chippy tea tonight from VGFB for the first time in years and it was delicious! Our chips were still so hot when I got them home I had to use a spatula to put them onto a plate (and that was even after making a quick stop off to drop some off for a relative!) My pitta was soft and fluffy, fish cooked beautifully and not greasy! Service was quick and smiley. It's been a long time since I've been in there, but I was very impressed with how clean it is now! We will definitely return!

What a lovely fish and chip s shop. Very polite and kind staff, I had to wait a few minutes for my order and after paying decided I would like curry sauce. I was given it free as they were near to closing. If I am in the area again I will certainly call in again.

Staying in the area for a few days from Plymouth. After reading a few good reviews, we decided this was the chippy for us. Gorgeous food and portion sizes were huge. Highly recommend. .

Amazing! This is what every Fish and Chip shop should be like. Customer service second to none. Simply superb. Super polite, friendly and helpful staff. Food is excellent. I tried a Masala Chicken wing yesterday and the flavours were amazing. We also tried the homemade onion rings. I don't normally like onion rings but these were brilliant. Not greasy at all, but so flavoursome. Highly recommended. Can't praise this place enough. Will definitely be back.
