Gluten free so they gave me a menu. My food was bland I had the gammon. The Pineapple stick was dry and very cold? potatoes tasted and smelt weird was no in butter like menu said? peas hard and gammon was hard i left most of it. Fellas mix grill asked for medium rare got well done and very well done. Chicken was dry all the way through? Was like all thrown on plate. No black pudding. Onion rings rock hard. One of the waitresses was so rude. Was one who was polite and amazing thou so she gets a 5 star

Popped in for a lunch. Photo attached, as you can see, chips on the mixed grill just as dry as the chicken. Cheap sausage which looked like it had been reheated. The other meal, grilled salmon fillet wasn't too bad to be fair apart from the potatoes being a little soggy. Female toilets smelt, staff friendly but unkempt. £50 down the drain, I won't bother again.

Our room was spacious and clean with what you would expect from a modern hotel. The cocked Hat is looking a bit dated but is quite acceptable for a short break. The service was good and a friendly welcome on arrival was welcome. We didn’t use the restaurant on this occasion but it serves breakfasts and meals throughout the day On the negative side, the hotel is located adjacent to the Coventry Eastern bypass and all though the night traffic noise was very evident especially as vehicles rolled over expansion joints on the flyover! I’m not sure it’s worth the £100 a night price tag though. Probably handy for motorway links.

We came this morning for breakfast. We didn't stay in a room but were just a walk in. The service we received was first class. The food we received was first class. I cannot fault this place. We love to go out for breakfast and this will be our new place to go to. The staff were absolutely perfect. Friendly, helpful, interacted great with our kids. Don't change a thing!!! 10 out of 10

Very nice pub which menu provides a good choice of dishes. I chose the salmon fillet followed by a brownie sundae. Personally I found the portion a little small. The meal was cooked well and provided a good blend of flavours. Level access with plenty of parking along with outside seating. We didn't sit outside so we do not know if you can hear the traffic from the main road and flyover.

Date of visit: 07/12/22 Visited during lunch time with 2 other people. I ordered the cheese and chutney toastie. Order arrived, the topping consisted of chutney with no sign of cheese and the underside was burnt black. Advised one of the female servers, she shrugged her shoulders and didn’t offer a replacement or my money back. Left the burnt offerings and inedible topping and vacated. I live locally and am not inclined to ever return after numerous poor sub standard food experiences at this establishment.

A superb place for anyone. Environment was simply nice. Staff were very kind so keep it up! After accidentally spilling my portion of sweet potato chips (very lovely) I got a new portion quickly without hassle and the ribs were a lovely big portion which was worth the £22. Cheese cake with ice cream tasted delicious, had a good texture but I would have preferred a larger portion for £7.

Ordered scampi, chips and mushy peas with chargrilled asparagus, beans and tenderstem broccoli with parsley butter what arrived was garden peas which they changed and no parsley butter . I couldn't be bothered to complain about the parsley butter dressing ( Which isn't really like me at all !) Next night I ordered ruddle ale steak pie chips and mushy peas with tenderstem broccoli green beans and chargrilled asparagus this time I complained about the greens there was no parsley butter again and the asparagus wasn't chargrilled when it was remade it was better but this time well over cooked there was no chewyness to any of the greens (I'll try again tomorrow)

I only nipped in for a soft drink (as I was driving) and as a meet up place to see friends. Good car park and entrance, nice clean pub. Soft drinks seemed a bit pricey £3.20 for a lemonade

Reasonable, I guess. The food was okay in quality and quantity and it was moderately expensive. About £20 per person with a drink. Was first put on a wonky table and then moved. Server was indifferent to us and for some reason we completely lost our table service after the mains arrived. Quite disappointing. Wetherspoon has much better offerings as this Greene King pub didn't feel any more upmarket at all, despite costing significantly more. Won't be in a hurry to go back to this chain.
