I had the most incredible dining experience at this restaurant! The Kashia Lamb was absolutely delicious it was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented by the chef. Service was attentive, knowledgeable, and the waiter made excellent recommendations. The atmosphere was elegant yet comfortable. I can't wait to come back and try more items from their menu. Definitely Malancha is my new favorite spot!

I rarely write reviews, but my experience at this so-called "Indian restaurant" was frustrating enough to warrant one. From the moment I walked in, it was clear the staff and management had little to no training in hospitality. The manager seemed indifferent, and the staff wore frowns like uniforms—any question about the menu was met with visible annoyance. I asked about Glenlivet, which was listed on the menu, and the waiter shrugged and said, “I don’t know what liquor we have. If it’s on the menu, maybe we have it.” That’s not just poor service—it’s unacceptable. If you’re serving alcohol, your staff should at least know what’s available. Having dined at many Indian restaurants over the years, I’ve come to associate Indian hospitality with warmth, care, and genuine welcome. This place was the complete opposite. Cold, dismissive, and frankly, disrespectful. They may serve Indian food, but they clearly don’t understand Indian hospitality. If you're looking for a place that embodies the spirit of Indian culture and service in Rugby, this is not it. There are huge number of beautiful Indian restaurants serving delicious food in Rugby. Enjoy those please...

⭐☆☆☆☆ Absolutely Disgraceful Experience at Malancha If you're looking for a pleasant dining experience in Rugby, avoid Malancha at all costs. We were a group of four, including an infant, and simply wanted to order two main curries with naan. But apparently, this restaurant has a rigid policy of one main course per person. Fair enough if it's a house rule—but the way it was enforced was shockingly rude and aggressive. The manager, who claimed to be born in the UK and to have 51 years of experience in the hospitality industry, behaved in a way that was anything but professional. Honestly, I’m still unclear why he felt the need to mention his birthplace—it added nothing to the conversation and felt like a bizarre attempt to assert authority. His attitude was condescending, dismissive, and downright hostile. When we politely explained we weren’t very hungry and didn’t know about the policy, he snapped, “I don’t make the policies, my friend. My company does.”—with zero empathy or courtesy. We asked for his name to raise the issue with management, but he refused to share it, which speaks volumes about accountability here. He even shouted at us and told us to “get lost” at 9:30 PM—with a baby in tow. That’s not just bad service; it’s inhumane. There were no high chairs for kids, and the staff clearly lacked basic training in hospitality. If this is what 51 years of experience looks like, I’d rather be served by someone new but respectful. Dining out is not just about food—it's about the experience. And this was hands down the worst experience we've ever had. There are plenty of wonderful restaurants in Rugby that treat customers with dignity. Do yourself a favour and go anywhere but Malancha.

Absolutely the WORST experience I’ve ever had at any restaurant. We were two couples with an infant, and from the moment we walked in, the treatment was shockingly disrespectful. The manager was extremely rude, showed zero professionalism, and made us feel completely unwelcome. There was no high chair available for our baby, and when we asked for basic accommodations, he responded with arrogance and hostility. After we paid the bill—despite the awful service—he aggressively told us to leave and refused to provide his name when asked. His behavior was not just unprofessional, it was borderline abusive. This was by far the most unpleasant dining experience any of us have ever encountered. ⚠️ DO NOT VISIT THIS RESTAURANT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. ⚠️ HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED. ⚠️ The manager is incredibly rude and disrespectful. Save yourself the time, money, and stress—go anywhere else.

Terrible service. Took 2 hours for our main courses to arrive. They only brought out half the groups food and took 30 mins for the other half of the group. 2 of us were sat 20 minutes with our curry but no rice another guy was just given a bowl of rice and no curry. When I asked staff if my rice was on its way he just said ' it's coming', shoved an empty plate in front of me and walked off! It clearly wasn't coming though as I had to wait another 15 minutes for it! They charge a top end prices and the food when it did arrive was fine, but the service was a shambles and staff rude. When we complained they only took £30 off our £450 bill which didn't even cover the poppadoms. Have never left a bad review anywhere before but this customer service was ridiculous!

Really nice people and good service. Samin who served us was great. Curries were delicious! Only got two prawns in our prawn starters which was disappointing but apart from that really good food and good value

Fantastic food, really flavoursome, good service despite it being a busy night. Our waiter, Samin, was brilliant. Only downside was it was very noisy, but it is Christmas party season and it was a Friday. Definitely recommend!
