   Reason for the low rating on atmosphere, was there on Saturday and the randomised music was dreadful. Played hymns, nursery rhymes and depressing easy listening. Not good for a Saturday or even a pub/restaurant setting.

   1pm on a Sunday and we were the only customers in the place. This might be because a sign outside said "private function" . However our waitress explained this referred to the previous night! We both ordered roast beef which came with a proper Yorkshire pud and a good portion of fresh vegetables along with extra gravy. It was first class and I told the chef how pleased we were. Smiling, efficient service too. All that for £6.95 a head. Great value! Just a shame about the lack of atmosphere. Recommended.

   Staff are really helpful...Kayley was was a real character very helpful Shirley was really helpful when deciding on the gin for my better have. Only complaint I have and it's one I have all the the time wooden boards are so unhygienic and mini chip baskets why??? Apart from that it was really good
