Expensive. Staff where great and the food was similarly as good. Over Β£100 per person, its questionable. Bread - fantastic, loved it. Soft with a crunch crust. Steak Tatar - maybe not for me, but was nice enough. Pork Cheeks - This dish wowed me. Pork cooked so well, oddly enough, the star was the gooseberry sauce. Best course by far, tender, well seasoned, loved it. Hazelnut Soufle- I'm not into sweet things, and it was a touch sweet with the sauce. However, perfectly cooked and anyone with a bit more or a sweet tooth would love it. + great food, can see why they have the star + attentive service + easy parking for Kenilworth - Β£5 for a bottle of water, seriously. - Service charge, whilst I let it slide this time, I'd usually ask for it to be taken off. We are not in America. Adjust your prices and pay your staff appropriately. Overall, very expensive, but nice enough. As you'd expect i had to top up afterwards, although they kept the (amazing) bread coming at no charge.

The food was amazing, the setting is lovely. The service is lacking. You should leave a Michelin starred restaurant feeling βwowβ - instead, we left going βuhhhβ. It truly is a shame the food and experience was overshadowed by the service, examples: they never asked us if we needed more drinks (even though our bottle and glasses were empty), we asked for a glass of Malbec to be served with the food, they took the order but never delivered it (still they managed to add to bill which we picked up, not the waiter) - he didnβt even apologise! We also had to ask for our empty glasses to be taken away. Overall, food yes - wow. Service needs to be addressed across all levels. Service from entrance to exit was poor.

We were blown away by the food quality. Everything was developed to perfection. The courses are tiny but you won't leave the restaurant hungry. The service was impeccable. The atmosphere relaxed. Very satisfied with the price quality relationship.

I really enjoyed my lunch here. As advertised, my experience was relaxed and refined. A complementary cheese snack and bread were provided. Service is on the slower, more relaxed side, giving you time to savour each bite. Dishes were presented beautifully, flavours were well-varied, and portion sizes were perfect. I will definitely be returning to try out more!

Lunch The Cross Fine dining in a gastropub βοΈ After driving in cold snowing conditions, we arrived to a lovely smiling greeting from Pavel, the general manager. We were seated next to a very cosy roaring fire, which soon warmed us up. Located in Kenilworth ,Warwickshire, The Cross is an award-winnin pub and has held a Michelin βοΈ for over six years, along with three AA Rosettes and Top50gastropubs. The Cross is housed in a Grade II listed 19th-century inn and has a casual atmosphere with informal but attentive service. The main dining room is a former school room that leads to a cosy and welcoming bar - previously a butcher's shop. There are a choice of dining options. From a tasting menu Β£105pp A la Carte choose 3 courses Β£80pp The exceptional value 3 course lunch Β£45pp which we chose. Includes some delightful snacks and freshly baked sourdough. Starters Wild Garlic, Potato & Buttermilk Soup Cured & Grilled Mackerel Red Meat Radish Salad, Blood Orange & Sesame Vinaigrette Mains Fillet of Cornish Skate Crushed Potato, Samphire, Lemon, Capers, Brown Butter Sauce Slow Cooked Wiltshire Pork Belly Puy Lentils, Hispi Cabbage, Pork Jus with Apple Cider Vinegar, Trotter and Agen Prune Desserts Passion Fruit Tart Coconut Dulce De Leche Ice Cream Cashel Blue Endive & Apple Salad, Kentish Walnut Oil Dressing Everything is top-notch, from the incredible food to the service and decor. Highly recommended.

We love eating lunch here. We went to celebrate our anniversary and we enjoyed the lunch menu. It's an incredible quality for its price. We specially loved the soup and the fish, they were superb.

Incredible food, as you'd expect from a Michelin star restaurant. Service was perfect, always there a moment before you need a top up of your glass, or when you wonder when the next course will arrive. Epic food though. The soufflΓ©! The egg! Great atmosphere. But... if it's hot, you'll probably need to ask for the Aircon to be switched on, even if the windows and doors are open. It can get a little toasty.

We had such a lovely lunch at the Cross. The staff was super friendly and even gave us a special plate for our anniversary. The food was also perfect, I highly recommend the Cross, especially if you have something to celebrate itβs a safe choice!
