Once again, we have had a fabulous family lunch at the Clarendon Arms. We booked the front room so felt private but were still close to the bar. The Christmas menu was excellent, with choices to suit everyone, large portions and piping hot. The staff were friendly and attentive. Great value for money and we will definitely be back!

A wonderful pub in the shadow of Kenilworth Castle that serves huge plates of excellent pub grub for very reasonable prices. Friendly efficient staff and lovely real ale. Do go there if you're in the area. Probably best to book to ensure a table as it was almost full when we were there.

Friendly service with welcoming staff. Food was delicious and would happily return. Also unique beers served which is a bonus.

Visited the Clarendon Arms in Kenilworth on a Friday for the Fish n chips Fryday deal. A meal for 2, including a bottle of wine Β£29.00. This is a great value deal. We paid Β£3 extra to upgrade the wine from Chilean to New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. The chips are huge, and so are the pieces of hallumi, which is what I had. I loved the crispy batter. The fish was perfectly cooked, too. The staff are friendly and helpful. Its a dog friendly pub, and many people have taken their dog with them. We booked in advance and we're so glad we did it was busy. I would definitely go back and have the Fryday deal.

We visited this afternoon after a trip to the castle. It was mere two minute walk away and we were not disappointed. Freshly cooked food and amazing service from Richard! The portion sizes were good and it was good value for money. We will definitely be back!

A smashing early evening meal for two. We picked from an excellent menu and found our fish and chips and ham, egg and chips were excellent. A really good pint of Butty Bach and a superb cheesecake finished the experience off perfectly.

Service from the girls was fantastic! The burgers are frozen cheap burgers so wouldn’t recommend and the burger itself was very dry. The main issue came when we ordered a brownie with vanilla ice cream to share between two 10 year olds, they had run out of vanilla ice cream so they suggested 2 scoops of different flavours, so they ordered 1 lemon and 1 chocolate. The poor waitress came back to us to say the chef is in a bad mood and he said you are only having 1 scoop! He then gave them salted caramel! What poor service over a scoop of ice cream! And I feel very sorry for the young girl who had to tell us that we could only have 1 scoop. Also the place has no atmosphere with no music and feels like a dinner hall upstairs. I won’t be visiting again and won’t be recommending the Clad. Used to be a very good pub but it’s gone down hill. Think they need to replace the Chef with Simone who can cook a burger (basic skills) someone who’s not narrow minded and someone with customer service skills.

Popped in for a drink and some food on a Monday night. Homely atmosphere inside with friendly and welcoming staff. Drinks were good value for money. Food was also excellent value, high quality and very delicious. Having eaten at the Q&C next door, I prefer the Clarendon, due to a wider offering of food (all your usual pub classics and more) and more attentive staff. Looking forward to visiting again!

What a great little pub with fantastic food. Came here two nights in a row whilst working away from home (London) and was made to feel very welcome even after spilling my cider after two sips and it was refilled before I had time to apologise Great value for money and with a happy hour on drinks you can’t go wrong the food was fantastic (best onion rings I’ve ever tasted)definitely worth a visit

Stake and stilton pie was just great, not too much but exactly right amount of stilton and mushroom. My companions liked their food too. Non-alcoholic ginger beer was good too, not too sweet. And not too pricey. The location is excellent, with the Kenilworth castle just opposite, thatched roof houses and St Mary's Abbey further to the left downhill. The style is very nice, typical for a pub. A bit narrow with tables in one row. If you are sitting at the door and along the windows there is a strong draught. And people smoking at the entrance have their fresh exhaust flown directly into other people faces with the draught. I don't think they mean to be rude, but the management might want to arrange another smoking place. On the opposite side, near the kitchen, the table for 5-6 is on the contrary in a very hot spot. However, the pub is worth a visit because the food is good, the location is excellent, and the waiters are very friendly and attentative, not too much. Overall, 4 stars. PS. I've seen _very well behaved dogs inside.
