This fish saloon is up there with the best in Coventry. The staff are very friendly and quick, and the food is excellent. They have an afternoon special which just can't be beat. I have eaten hear over 2 years and the standards have been constantly high, hence the 5 stars review.
Well worth waiting in the queue and good quality food for the money. Not my local. 10 minute drive.Recommended.
I feel compelled to write a review because each time I pay a visit I am never disappointed. Quality, quantity and value for money is spot-on. I'm not a local lad being from Rugby but I work fairly close by in Coventry. I just wish I had a chippie as good as this local to me, then again I'd be always in it so perhaps not!
I have always been going to the Fish and chips shop in Allesley Park for quite a long time. The staff have always look after me. Everytime I goes I tell them how many Fish I want and they cooked me fresh ones which I don't mind waiting. I goes most Saturdays . The staffs are very friendly and I will tell peoples that they are the best Fish and chips takeaway in Coventry
Having just finished my cod and chips, I felt a review was very worthy...amazing, my go to is large kebab meat and chips with sweet chilli sauce, but occasionally I mix it up. The food is always cooked well, tasty and hot. Service is always with a smile and a "how are you keeping ", from any of the staff, always being so friendly, polite and professional. I work in hospitality, so I know it's hard being nice to people all of the time, especially some people, so hats off to you all! I have been using this chip shop, on average once a week, since 2000, when I moved to around the corner from it and I have never had a reason to complain ever! Keep up the great work all, and I will see you again very soon. Thank you.
I always go down to the chippy and it’s great! everyone’s lovely in there, there quit quick with the food

Only ordered two items and one of them was wrong (even though I was asked to repeat my order after the first item was packed). They also have a minimum spend for using card even though that’s against Visa and Mastercard terms and conditions.
Staff and the owners are great. They’ve unfortunately lost my repeat custom in recent years due to shrinking portions, quality and unrealistic price increases comparative with other shops in the area. I gave them another try but sadly the same experience. A shame as the service etc is generally spot-on.
Must be quite popular- quite a few was queuing for opening time at noon. Only a 3 star rating as I was served by someone on their first shift (you could tell !) so the expected customer service failed my expectations.
