   I find this chip shop very expensive as not the best quality. I have been a couple of times now and the man has either not given me what I have asked for and basically knows better as to what i like and then over charges. I understand now why this shop only takes cash payments. I genuinely feel I have been robbed and really don't think it's fair business.

   Really disappointed! This chippy used to be the best food I had ever tasted. It has now gone down hill dramatically. I ordered 3 lunch time specials. I can honestly say it was gopping! Chips were stale. Coated in lots of salt and sauce to disguise them! Sausage was extremely dry inside and greasy. My son couldn’t eat his. We tried our best. As we were hungry. I will never go back!!

   Great atmosphere in the shop! Very cheerful and the service is good. Best chip shop in the area. Portions are massive. The meat is tasty. Chips are very very good. Will definitely come back again.

   The last few times I’ve been have been here, not great. Chips and kebabs in particular. Probably best to go at a busy time with fast food turnover if you want it fresh but then the queue is usually out the door so..

   Had the chicken kebab, the chicken was thickly sliced and tasted fresh (there seemed to be pieces of stuffing mixed in with it, but that could have been because I visited just after Christmas). The salad was crispy and fresh and the staff were polite and friendly. The portions are generous, see photos as the kebab almost filled a dinner plate! I'll be back to try their other goodies and amend my review.

   Portions are amazing, staff are the best. There is even secret menu items... But I'm not telling you what they are. The staff are friendly and love to have a laugh with you. They don't mind going the extra mile to brew up something a bit different on demand. One example, I asked about a cream egg in batter, and one of the staff members quickly ran to the shop next door to buy one and they battered one up within minutes. That is like 5 star hotel concierge service, but for a chippy. How can you fault that?
