Glad I found this hidden gem! The food was clean, fresh, and bursting with flavour each dish clearly prepared with care. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the team made us feel genuinely welcome. We’ll definitely be returning to explore more of the menu.
Paramount, tucked away by Penarth train station, is unassuming on the outside. It's somewhat of an institution in the town having been in business for well over 40 years. And having dined there we can see why! What they do, they do well. The food was fresh and tasty and the service was good. Everything was just reliably good in this place. Did it blow us away? Absolutely not, but we were all in agreement that we would come back here. It's a really solid restaurant with a good variety of curries, the usual suspects when it comes to beer, and friendly service. You can't ask for much more than that.
Based on great reviews I Visited a few years back but came away disappointed. Recently tried again as was told they cater well for gluten free diners. Service was very good / friendly. Food, again not so great. Both gluten free diners were ill, one was taken ill at the restaurant and the other once they were home. They suspect the onion bhaji as they both had it. We are not GF diners but both our meals had tough / rubbery chicken and sauce on mine was very thick / congealed. Sheek kebab had a more puréed than minced texture. Sadly for us another disappointing experience.

The Paramount has been in Penarth for over 25years. Its centrally located near the main train station and has ample parking outside. I had a Chicken Shatkora which is a Bangladeshi dish and my wife had a Vegetable Byriani. The service is fine and it's very reasonably priced
The food was good, tasty and affordable. There was great customer service and the overall experience was great. The ambience was also good. Customer service is the key thing that has to be mentioned. The way they do it is so professional. Keep up the good work.
