Not my usual choice but not fussy either so decided to give it a go last minute. Service was outstanding. In particular (didn’t get his name) but the duty manager, tall guy with glasses. His good morning made us feel welcome immediately, he was attentive and really friendly. Service makes the experience for me, food was cheap and cheerful, nothing to write home about but hit the spot for the price. Will definitely consider going again, because of the service.

Me and my mother were staying in the Premier Inn next door for my 25th birthday. We had booked in for a meal deal with the Premier Inn which we found to be of incredibly good value. It included breakfast, a 2 course evening meal and a drink for an incredibly good price. Almost all of the regular menu was available in this deal. During the evening meal, the manager Carl and his team gave us incredibly good service and was very friendly. They did everything they could to make my birthday feel special. The food was prepared timely and of excellent quality. I would particularly recommend trying their steak since it was cooked to perfection. For breakfast the next morning, there was a wide array of choices. Once again, the food was of excellent quality. I would highly recommend visiting this place if you're in Barry Island. Especially if you're staying with the Premier Inn and you are offered the meal deal with your stay

Have been here a couple of times, Carl and the staff are the most polite in Cardiff and food is good, especially for the price. We will definitely be returning many times. One thing that would make the experience better would be if some rude families were asked to contain their children and behave with some fundamental decency, as last time we visited the family next to us had their kids running around in their socks and crawling on the floor, which is not appropriate for a restaurant.

Well we visited here a few times whilst staying at the premier inn Barry island next door. Food is lovely and very reasonablly priced. Before 6pm daily meals are £6 and deserts £2.99 each, bargain, as a wheelchair user this place is level access and there is plenty of space to turn around inside. Although this place can get busy service is brilliant. Bookings for tables may be reccomended here.

A Saturday evening with a family of 6. The service to order at the bar was quick and staff where friendly. Although it was busy, 40 minutes from order to service was somewhat unusual for this restaurant as normally they are quick for service. The food was warm, pleasant and the staff were very friendly.

Visiting Barry for my wife’s birthday and booked evening meal for when we got to the hotel. You always expect an ‘OK’ level of service from a large chain. Not the case here. All staff were genuinely friendly and happy while providing efficient and prompt service. All members of staff were so good and looked like they enjoyed their jobs. They even dealt with a awkward customer next to us (complaining about a missing grilled tomato! Which A) is gross anyway and B) calm down it’s a tomato!) with empathy and understanding. What a lovely experience. All great again for breakfast in the morning and when we popped in for a cheeky pint. Well worth a visit. Thank you.

Food was fairly shocking tasted like it had been under the heat lamp since October, The ice cream was ok enough i suppose gets 2 stars, for, one because it’s cheap AF with a meal deal and 2 the guy front of house was super enthusiastic and trying his best to be positive in a what is an awful franchise restaurant.

Had breakfast & dinner here on two days. The food is just as you expect from this chain and the premises are spotlessly clean & staff friendly and helpful. The downside is that we were refused entry on our second night (for drinks only) as a total of 12 of us wanted to use the bar and you can't use the bar if you're not buying food! This is most bizarre & doesn't happen at the two Brewers Fayre locations nearest to me. Ironic as of the 12 in the party, eight of us were staying in the adjacent Premier Inn. It quite spoiled our second night and made us wish we had spent our collective money elsewhere, so the verdict is that it's OK but there are better choices locally I'm very sorry to say.
