   My wife and I visited La Marina today for lunch. It was a birthday treat from my wife and it was one of the best treats I have had in a very long time, primarily because La Marina is the best restaurant we have been to in Cardiff, by far. Firstly, we would like to thank Janka, Mrunal (Moon), Stan and everyone else who helped us make this day a truly memorable one. They are really sweet, friendly and welcoming and the service provided by them was first class. Secondly, the food we ordered was totally worth the price. Every dish was amazing, rich in taste and the freshness of it all was just too good. The ambiance is pleasant, the decorations are beautiful and the location is breathtaking. Great sea food, great veg selections and a variety of meats to choose from. The restaurant is highly recommended, located in one of the most beautiful parts of Cardiff.

   What can I say... simple the best! Location, classy, lush, extensive menu, efficient staff, food rich of flavours, amazing view...if you really want enjoy a luch/dinner out and be happy to spend money, that's the best place to go....we have chosen this restaurant for our wedding years ago and was amazing and we came for our Easter lunch here again and we weren't disappointed...everything was amazing. It's very hard on these days to find such a good restaurant with fresh food cooked at perfection and very professional staff. Thank you!

   Birthday meal... girl taking our order was a bit surly... smile and dont tell the customer that the fish is quite big ! Chips were quite salty and the butter unspreadable. Please update your board menu because several items were not available even tho on special ! Your main menu items were ofcourse all available. Saying that, had a nice meal and and were full so couldnt manage a dessert this time... thank you all the same. French Bread was awesome as always.

   We had Chicken Pate and the Spanish Meatballs from the Lunch Menu to start, with Scallops from the Main Board. Our main meals were Fillet Steak, Roast Pork and Battered Cod, Peroni and one of the House Whites. Exceptional Fayre and Wonderful Staff and surroundings.

   Recently visited for my father inlaws 60th birthday with 20 guests. We brought our own custom birthday cake, but unfortunately one of the staff dropped it! Mistakes happen. The way the manager dealt with this mishap was great, although dissapointing, he managed to more than make up for it. The wait for our main meal was over 1 hour, I appreciate we were a table of 20 but I do feel that was a little too long. Food was ok, my fillet steak was rather small (I know fillet isn't a huge cut but this was small!) and over cooked. The bill came and the staff taking the order had managed to really confuse the matter. Would have been 5 stars if my fillet wasn't so over cooked and tiny.
