Had a lovely collection takeaway this evening…great value…and very tasty….their recent award is well deserved..this will now be a regular for me…

First time here I've lived in Wales for 10 years and never had a decent curry almost found it a couple of weeks ago but then was recommended chilli express finally a chicken tikka that melts in the mouth onion bhajis incredible bread just how it should be sag aloo absolutely spot on I'll definitely be going back oh and the people that work there very friendly and welcoming Now the downside and the only one I can think of It's takeaway only I think it would be even busier if it was a restaurant
Had our first takeaway here this evening travelled from Cwmbrân and the food was amazing definitely be returning.
Fantastic takeaway, best on the block in my opinion. Prices are competitive and it's much more flavourful, has more of an actual Bangladeshi twist than usual 'Indian' takeaways that are actually ran by Bengalis. Far less commercial taste than most takeaways. Highly recommend the mawgli biriyani and naga chicken curry. Good service as well. Takes contactless card payments as of 26/10/25.
Dear Chillies, I began my shift, on the front lines of covid, full of promise for the night ahead. I had no lunch with me and was in the mood for a curry. I rang your establishment to place an order for collection and enquired about whether you accepted card for payment. You re-assured me that I could pay with card and with it being 2021 I assumed this meant contact-less would be fine. Upon arrival to collect my delicious food I was informed I could not pay with contact-less. I had no card with me and you offered me no help at all, just flat out refusal to serve me. You wasted my time and gave me false hope. This has left me having to wasting my break time to go on a scavenger hunt for food during my 12 hour shift. I suggest you upgrade your systems to get with the timezzzzz. P.S I saw you eating my food.
Ordered a meal from these guys using Deliveroo. At collection there was a query with the payment (Deliveroo's problem, not the restaurant's). The proprietor handled the issue with utmost professionalism and honesty, from a customer service point of view you couldn't ask for more. The food was great too. If you order, order direct instead of going through a third party, and support a fine local business.
When I ordered online it stated the wait would be 90 minutes, the food did not arrive until 3 hours after ordering. During the prolonged wait, I rang the restaurant on 3 occasions, that obviously did not seem to help to speed up the order! On arrival the food was lukewarm, but I feel if I complained to Chillies directly I would not have been heard. This is the second review I have wrote of my experience as the first has been deleted. I wonder how many more bad reviews go this way too? Plenty of other Indians to choose from, stay away.
Ordered on their website last night and was told that it would be 90 minutes, after two phonecalls the food finally arrived after 3 hours! Totally unacceptable. The food itself was not hot and a little salty for my liking. If you are in the NP10 area I recommend the three mughals instead.
Ordered a curry worth £30 and 45 minutes after ordering it, they rang to say they wouldn't deliver it because I was too far away (4 miles)!! I would of paid extra but they weren't interested in my business! By this time it was too late to order from somewhere else and my birthday was ruined! I have been going here since they opened and spent a fortune but no more. Ive found somewhere better and they do deliver!
