food came really quickly, and i would absolutely recommend getting the chicken and mushroom fried rice, then combine it with a tub of their curry sauce. the combination had me yelling so many expletives my housemates became concerned for my well being. incredible meal, and their prawn crackers are to die for.
I placed an order for crispy shredded beef but was unfortunately disappointed with the quality and the quantity. I had previously enjoyed this dish a few years ago and found it to be much better. In the past, I have held Mandarin Chef in high regard under the previous ownership. However, the food has changed significantly, and the prices have doubled. The samosas were predominantly batter with minimal filling. Regrettably, we were dissatisfied with our dining experience.

Had a chicken and sweetcorn soup. The piece of sweetcorn were bitter. The bean sprouts in my chicken chow mein also tasted bitter. And my king prawns Smelled and also tasted funnyAnd the rice was staleI won't be ordering from you guys again sorryIt's not the first

I received a pamphlet for Mandarin Chef through my letterbox and spontaneously decided to give it a try. I’m very fussy with Chinese takeaways but I was pleasantly surprised. Mandarin chef serves large portion sizes, and their food is always of the best quality. It always tastes fresh and flavourful. I usually get crispy shredded beef, peking style prawns or chicken, vegetable chow mien and salt & pepper chips. I would highly recommend all of these dishes and it’s the best Chinese takeaway I’ve had in Leicester by far! The delivery is also very quick and the delivery drivers are always polite and have a positive attitude. Thank you to the staff and owners at Mandarin Chef for demonstrating the best customer service and food at all times!
