Meal and service brilliant. Overall ruined by staff moving tables. Didn't finish drink as spoilt whole experience. Could of been handled better. Reply to owner Hope you got your roof sorted. Have a lovely Christmas.
Came along for Sunday lunch . Great staff and food was fantastic.. dropped a glass of wine my accident replaced straight away .. not many places do this .. meet the owner very friendly I be coming back a lot.. god knows why I never popped in more often..
We booked out the upstairs room for a meal for a surprise Wedding Anniversary party. Honestly it was amazing. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient and went above and beyond for us. The food was absolutely delicious, every single one of us enjoyed our meal and everything ran really smoothly even with 45 of us on a super busy Saturday evening. Could not fault anything at all and they were a huge part of an amazing celebration for us! Couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough!!
What an experience. It was recommended to us by a member of staff at a bar. We did some research prior and were very pleased it met all our expectations on the amazing food. Located just off the main street it offers a mix of French and Yorkshire cuisine. Highly recommend booking.
We had a wonderful meal here Saturday evening, so much so that we went back Sunday afternoon and both meals and experiences were thoroughly enjoyable. We have no hesitation in recommending it. We both really enjoyed every dish we chose and the most memorable were the seafood parcel and seafood soup but every dish was a success. There was a good choice of meat, seafood and veg dishes. The fruit brandy was a theatrical and pleasant end to the meal.
Really tasty meal well cooked and pleasantly served. The restaurant is comfortably informal and gives a relaxed environment. I would have given a five-star review but there were a couple of negatives: 1. Our main courses took a long time to arrive (we had a deadline) 2. One course (though delicious) was not what we ordered. Despite the above, would still recommend. Editing to amplify my "really tasty meal" comment above... The food was truly great and tasted like it was prepared by someone who cares and I believe the prices were sensible for the quality.
Amazing staff, great atmosphere and superb food. Literally the best of French influence with Yorkshire food. We had the duck confit and the Normandy chicken escalope. Both were well cooked and full of taste This place is definitely on my go back list
Firstly the service is exceptional, the decor and ambiance is most comfortable, but when it comes to the food, the standard is of a very high degree and the depth of flavours makes this restaurant a most classy experience indeed.
