   What amazing team is there even the lady i think she was a supervisor or Manger I think her name was starting w L she was working today 13th Dec 2025 at 1pm I feel terrible not to remember her name as she was so helpful she make sure I had the matching grinch pijama as they did not had in stock in this store so she called another store and told them to make sure they hold one for me so will not get sold as I needed for Christmas this year for me my mum and my brother as we have not seen each other for over 4 years and my mum always had a wish that we all have matching pijamas and she always wanted the grinch so even she did not had to she make sure I had one she was even gone go store in the weekend bring it for me for Monday but I was totally OK to go to the other store and get it but even still you do not see this everyday both stores make my and my mum wish come true and she can have finally her dream come true thank you so ever much for helping me it means so so much to me and the price was not high at all what was perfect as this year my mum is struggling a bit so I am making sure she has everything she deserves thank you so so so much for making this year Christmas for me and my mum special and happy it means so so much to us thank you so so ever much ! For some people would mean oo is just a clothes but for me it means so much as I want what most important for my mum as this year was not easy at all so this actually makes our Christmas special and magical little things make what is the most best thing ever we are finally tougher and with a help of Matlan stuff made it the best of everything even most best !

   Terrible service. Visited on the 6th of August. Clothes are great however survive was absolutely terrible. I went to the counter to pay. Keep in mind I visited last week and I paid with an American Express card. When I tried paying yesterday, it kept declining. This Asian brown lady kept refusing to let me pay and told me American Express never worked in Matalan. When I showed her proof, she bet on me I would never find it however when I showed her my statements, I told her that I used it on the 1st of August. She kept refusing to let me play and told me that I was very delusional and told me to stop making a scene in front of everyone. I was not doing anything besides try to pay for the items but instead, she humiliated me in front of all the customers. Even showed her proof and I told her that I would never shop at this store again. I recommend you to visit another store besides the Matalan at Gallagher retail park. Utterly terrible service.

   I recently went into Matalan and was disgraced by the way I was treated in the short time I was there. I went in to browse some plain T-shirts, none of which caught my eye. So I left the store empty handed and thought nothing of it. I then walked across the retail park to tk max to see if they had anything that was more suited to me. As I was shopping in the middle of the aisle. A lady approached me and said that someone reported me stealing in Matalan and proceeded to keep looking at my pockets that were quite clearly empty. I had nothing in my hands to suggest I stole anything, nor any bags on myself. I showed her my pockets were empty by opening them up to alleviate her concerns. She did not introduce herself or explain where she was from. Instead she questioned me as to why I left the store empty handed and interrogated me, saying there’s plain T-shirts everywhere in the store. Ignoring the fact that I explained I didn’t like any. At this point many people were looking while she was asking me and made me feel as if I was an actual criminal and done something wrong. After her questionnaire she left without apologising and walked off. I tried to then contemplate what had just happened and tried to continue with my shopping. I couldn’t help but notice at this point the whole shop was looking at me as if I’m going to steal something. Uncomfortable, I left the store feeling embarrassed and profiled as I was an Asian male wearing a tracksuit. With the reviews I have seen from this store prior to my visit, a lot of people feel the same way about the managers. The lady who done this, “Liz” who is supposed to be apart of Matalans management team, failed to follow basic legal protocols and harassed me in another retail store. Very sad to see these things still happen.

   More like a jumble sale. Staff need to be customer service trained. Do they have a cleaner ( it must be Stevie Wonder ) one of the dirtiest shops I’ve been in and very depressing. You will message back my info sent to the store manager. It’s the managers lack of management that the shop is disgusting. You should forward the manager their P45 obviously not up to the job.
