I would like to thank the staff who were working in the Ilkley store on Friday 7th November, for their great cutomer service. Especially the lady who told me she had not been working there very long. Both ladies were very kind and helpful. Also very helpful customer service person.
Visited the Ilkley store today with my husband and two children and the dark haired assistant made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. I went to look around while my children did some colouring in and I could feel her watching me the whole time and twice she quite aggressively asked me if I needed help and her demeanour was just very stand offish. It was very bizarre! Don’t think we’ll be going back any time soon!
Called in to the Ilkley shop on Monday 17/02 to find a gift for my friend’s new baby. The staff were really helpful and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend to others.
I have had OK experiences in the past shopping here, however I collected a click and collect order yesterday and the older lady who served me was incredibly rude and made me feel like I was an inconvenience. It takes a lot of courage for me to go into a store and speak to a sales assistant as I am hearing impaired, so to be met with such a reaction was upsetting and it has put me off visiting the store again.
The staff are shocking. Two older ladies who were curt and unfriendly. Shame as the products are good.
Lovely products shame about the staff , to busy chatting to help , asked if they had a certain size , standard reply “only what’s out “ so asked if we could order “you can do it yourself online “ asked if the assistant (I use that term loosely) could please order it for us “well we could but we are a bit busy” at this point there is no one else in the shop , so if that’s what they call busy god help them when they have a rush of 2 people or more , put what we were buying back saving myself a couple of hundred pounds , would rather spend my money in a shop that cares about its customers.
A lovely shop.Shame about the staff.One was slightly helpful with jeans on and the other put me off making a purchase. She just stood at the counter and had a couldn't be bothered look and stared at customers cleverly. So rude
Today I tried to buy products from this store , no acknowledgement from the staff until I proffered cash . Apparently this is deadly and may make them ill . I thought it was a method of payment for goods and helped pay their wages , rent rates and all that stuff . Tesco have readily accepted it and I should imagine the small independent where I’ll transfer my Christmas trade to will be very happy to receive it . Appalling staff , if I were paying their wages I’d expect them to greet shoppers with a friendly ‘hello’ not carry on their conversation .
I have mostly shopped online on the JoJo Maman Bébé website, so I was happy to see this shop on a trip to Ilkley recently. The maternity and nursing clothes feel like really good quality - a little on the expensive side, but I think the quality is worth it. The website has everything, of course, but the Ilkley shop also had a good choice of maternity clothes, baby clothes, toys and books, and lots of baby related accessories.
