Purchased a washer dryer in Feb 2024, which within the first 6 months became faulty. Thinking that liability stood with the manufacturer only, because it was outside the 30 days, I proceeded with the standard manufacturer warranty repairs. Unfortunately the manufacturer has been unable to fully resolve the leakage issues and electrical faults with the device after 4 visits and they are now attempting a 5th. I’m truly fed up and the machine now doesn’t work at all! The manufacturer now claims that I should go back to the seller, because it seems the washer dryer was integrally faulty from purchase (within first 6 months) and liability is with the seller under consumer law. I have complained to marks electrical about the washer dryer being faulty and there’s clear evidence that the manufacturer has been attempting to fix the machine within the first 6 months of purchase until now! However Marks electrical are denying fault because I did not inform them sooner! They also state there is no evidence it was faulty within 6 months, although I’ve provided documents of the first manufacturer engineer visits within this time. I’m now £600 down and have the manufacturer directing me to Marks Electrical and Marks electrical directing me back to the manufacturer. Truly going round in circles. I can imagine that Marks electrical are good at getting a value item delivered on time, but if you have a fault with your device don’t expect any help! Will never use this company again!

We paid Marks Electrical for a professional TV wall-mounting service and unfortunately had an extremely poor, stressful and costly experience that has still not been resolved nearly three months later. From the outset, the process was problematic. The first installation visit failed completely - they didn't even try to install it. Apparently we had ordered a mount that was not suitable for a plasterboard wall (a full motion one) - according to our own electrician/builder, this would have been fine if installed properly into the solid wall behind. We were then required to pay again for a second visit for Marks Electrical to return and attempt the installation once more. During the second visit, the installers made multiple attempts to fix the mount, drilling multiple holes into the wall. Despite this, the final result was a TV mount that was clearly unstable. The bracket was not sitting flush, could be moved by hand, and was visibly pulling away from the wall at an angle. We explicitly raised concerns at the time. We were verbally reassured by the installers — as “professional TV installers” — that the TV was safe. Under pressure, with two installers trying to leave after a long and frustrating visit, we signed the installation completion form in good faith, trusting their professional judgement. This trust turned out to be misplaced. Once the installers had left and we were able to properly assess the situation, it was immediately obvious that the installation was not safe. We have a toddler in the house, and a 65-inch TV falling from the wall would pose a serious risk of injury or worse. Because of this, we removed the TV from the wall ourselves shortly after installation. The wall had been left with numerous drilled holes, broken fixings and visible damage from failed attempts. We contacted Marks Electrical promptly and provided photos and videos clearly showing: - The mount coming away from the wall - Fixings pulling in and out - Broken plasterboard plugs - The number of holes left behind At this point, Marks Electrical acknowledged that the installation had been poor. We were explicitly told that if we obtained a quote to repair the wall, they would look to cover the cost of repair. Acting in good faith, we arranged for a local electrician/builder to inspect the wall. He confirmed the installation had been carried out incorrectly and resolved the issue by using appropriate, longer fixings into the solid structure behind the plasterboard — something Marks Electrical’s installers failed to do. He also repaired the damaged wall. We provided the official invoice for this work to Marks Electrical, exactly as requested. After receiving the invoice, Marks Electrical reversed their position entirely and citing the signed installation form — despite them acknowledging that the installation was poor. As a result, we are now approximately £200 out of pocket, made up of: - The original paid installation - The additional charge for a return visit - £100 paid to a local professional to repair the wall and mount the TV safely (which is cheap) We allowed Marks Electrical ample time to resolve this matter privately and repeatedly stated that we had not left any negative reviews while we waited for a fair resolution. Unfortunately, after promising to cover the repair and then backing out, communication has effectively stalled and the issue has been brushed off. This experience has been disappointing not only because of the poor quality of the installation, but because of the way the complaint has been handled afterwards. I would strongly caution anyone considering paying for installation services from Marks Electrical — particularly in homes with plasterboard walls — and would recommend thinking very carefully before trusting safety-critical work to this service.

Very disappointing experience. I ordered a Hisense 65E7NQTUK TV from Marks Electrical because they advertised next-day delivery. In reality, delivery took several days. When the TV finally arrived, it was faulty straight out of the box, and the delivery team took it back immediately. Customer service initially promised me a replacement on Wednesday. However, when I called again, I was told something completely different. I was told that Marks Electrical cannot provide a replacement unless I pay more for the exact same model, claiming it is now a “new year model” and more expensive in their system. They also said that if I do not want to pay extra, my only option is to take a refund. This is extremely frustrating because the TV arrived faulty, and according to UK consumer law the retailer should provide a replacement at no additional cost. Instead, I received delayed delivery, a broken product, and then a phone call telling me replacement is “not possible” unless I pay more or accept a refund. Based on my experience: • Delivery was later than advertised • TV arrived damaged • Promised replacement was cancelled • I was told to pay more or accept a refund • Customer service was not supportive when something went wrong Very unhappy with the service, and I cannot recommend Marks Electrical based on this experience.

I recently placed a large order with Marks Electricals for a complete kitchen renovation, including an integrated fridge freezer, integrated dishwasher, two ovens, and a hob. From the initial order to the final delivery, the service I received was truly top draw. The pricing was very reasonable, making the initial decision easy, but it was the customer support that really stood out. I made an error on my order, but when I contacted Steven, he instantly rectified the mistake and processed a part refund, even though the error was entirely my fault. Additionally, one item was out of stock, but Steven conversed with me regularly, providing constant updates and ensuring I was informed every step of the way. Once all items were in stock, he helped schedule a delivery date that suited my specific needs. The delivery today was scheduled perfectly. The two delivery men who arrived were incredibly helpful. I had originally asked them to leave the items on my drive as I was waiting for a friend to help me move them to my workshop at the bottom of the garden. However, they insisted they would move the items for me so I wouldn't need to bother my friend. They went above and beyond the call of duty, ensuring all the large appliances were stored securely in my workshop, ready for my fitters who arrive in two weeks. Although I can't yet comment on the products themselves, I am exceptionally happy with the service, communication, and professionalism I have experienced. I highly recommend Marks Electricals for their outstanding team and excellent logistics. I will post a product review once my kitchen installation is complete!

Quite surprized better than expected. I ordered a fridge freezer late on Saturday night and it was delivered Monday 9am. Two delivery guys were really good, they carefully manoeuvred the new fridge freezer around the back and into the kitchen and gave good information on the product and next steps to setup and tips for me to install like that the filter was separate on the new machine not like the previous one so I needed to find a suitable place to locate it. They took the old one away worth the £20. Overall excellent service from both company and employees, recommended and would use again.

Marks Electrical has an easy to use website which makes placing, paying and organising delivery of products really easy. There's a number of different payment options too, including modern cashless payments. Organising delivery was simple and, obviously to help the delivery team, a number of delivery accessibility questions were simple to complete. I was kept up to date with my order via email, the confirmation of my delivery time slot was really appreciated, as was the reminder text. The delivery team, in my case Simon and Josh, gave me a courtesy call to let me know they had arrived. They carefully navigated my cramped home and popped the appliances exactly where I told them to, even making sure that they'd got the right spots. They were friendly and helpful, all done with a smile. Thanks for being great ambassadors for Marks Electrical lads. :) I'd highly recommend Marks Electrical to anyone looking to buy or replace their old appliances. They're cheaper than almost everyone else, and with service like I experienced, I'd happily use them again in the future. My freezer is looking a little tired after all... :D

Ordered a washing machine over a month ago, it arrived broken and wouldn't start a cycle. I reported it broken 3 days later, didn't hear a response for over a week. Contacted them again, I'd fallen outside their "terms and conditions" for reporting damage and I wasn't entitled to a replacement. When the engineer arrived he explained that had Marks Electrical contacted the manufacturer within 28 days candy would have provided a replacement. We've missed that by a matter of days, all because Marks Electrical didn't reply for 2 weeks and then a further 2 weeks waiting for the engineer. I'm still waiting for my washing machine to be fixed or replaced. This is beyond dreadful customer service and implore anyone looking for an appliance to go elsewhere. You certainly won't be treated like this at John Lewis or Currys. To top it all off I bet I get the same copied and pasted response to my review " Thanks for taking the time to get in touch with your review. We are sorry to hear of your negative experience. Please call us..."

Bought four large items: Range Cooker, Cooker Hood, Dishwaher and Washing machine. Items were delivered as arranged. I paid for the Bulky Delivery as it states they will unwrap and remove the packaging for recycling. This is clearly stated on the Marks Electrical website. I mentioned this, they refused, saying they don't do the unpacking. Not a good start! When I unwrapped the Rangemaster cooker, I notice both oven doors were faulty. One was catching on the side panel and the other was twisted and did not close. The side panel was also bent and creased, so and I suspect the cooker may have been dropped and the frame damaged. (Maybe that's why they refused to unwrap and reveal the damage!). I emailed photos and a detailed description of the damage/faults. Now over 2 weeks later, 13 emails and numerous phone calls, we still don't have a working cooker! Customer service is truely APPALLING! Rarely do they respond to emails, so I normally follow-up with a phone call, but still no meaningful progress! There's one excuse after another. First they need the serial number before they can arrange anything. Then it's more questions, often repeated even though I had answered, etc, etc. They offered a repair and some "good will" compensation. I refused, being worried there may be further issues that I'm not yet aware of. I confirmed this by emailed and verbally over the phone and was told someone from the Exchange Team will be in touch in the next 24-48 hours. Didn't hear anything, so called a few days later, only to be told they are still awaiting my response regarding the compensation/repair! Strangely , they didn't have records of my two emails and phone call stating that I want an exchange asap, or refund if it will be quicker. I asked to speak to a manager, but was told (by Chloe) that no managers are available! She said Exchange Team will be in touch in 24/48 hours, and that was it! We have friends over this Jubilee weekend and still don't have a working cooker! Customer service and after sales are APPALLING!

Sales people are very helpful. After sales service is a disgrace. Ordered a high end dishwasher that was in stock. Was also offered installation, and the sales person indicated that it would take a week to get the dishwasher with installation. Post payment it appeared that there was actually no appointments for 2.5 weeks. I was a bit disappointed of course, but just left it at that. However, once the installers arrived with the dishwasher, it was missing a fixing kit and all paperwork. When I called to find out where the missing parts were- they refused to take any responsibility and blamed the manufacturers. Apparently they take no responsibility for their inventory nor the machines they send out. It took me 3 phone calls and 5 days to get them to successfully place a new order for the missing pieces from Miele. Now that I have managed to place the order- I am advised that the delivery will take another 7 days and they cannot hurry it up cause they can't. Also they will not book in someone to come and fix the dishwasher door before I physically have the fixing kit. Why, I have no idea. So it may well be another 2.5 weeks, given the experience so far. Meanwhile I can't really use the dishwasher properly (while loading and unloading- the door springs up and has to be wedged open) and have a piece of kitchen furniture missing. The customer service is extremely unhelpful, unresponsive and uncourteous. I would avoid if wanted reliable service.
