Absolutely fantastic shop, no pushy sales or marketing just passionate runners with great knowledge and service Advised me not on the most expensive shoes but found a pair within my budget after a thorough gait analysis, Purchased a pair of Onclouds after trying multiple pairs of more and less expensive shoes. Bonus points for supporting local running clubs! Many thanks I’ll be back :)

I bought a pair of running shoes from here a while ago with a gait analysis but unfortunately they were completely the wrong trainers for my feet (I was given wide neutral shoes when I now know I have narrow overpronating feet) - I was even told that it doesn’t matter if the shoe is wide because I can lace them up to be narrow, which doesn’t work. the lady who served me was quite nice, but it seems doesn’t have a lot of knowledge unfortunately and the trainers gave me a lot of injuries before I went elsewhere and got different ones.

Went along recently to one of their running shoe try on events, New Balance in this case. I’d been thinking about buying a pair and when I saw the event advertised I signed up! On the night Anne Marie greeted us and made us feel really welcome. There was a rep from New Balance in attendance too with a a selection of different shoes to try. He engaged with everyone and was really helpful giving lots of information about the different shoe types. A group of about 20 of us (all different abilities and paces) then went for a nice 2.5 mile-ish loop from the shop to try the shoes. On our return we were treated to hot and cold drinks as well as pizza! My shoes were ordered and were available in a few working days. Fantastic service from a great local shop!

I had a great experience buying new running shoes here yesterday. Big thanks to Stan, who was really encouraging and informative throughout the gait analysis. I'll be running my first marathon this year and have been on quite the journey with my training so far (pesky injuries!), so it was a comfort to speak to an experienced runner and to trust his advice, without feeling like I was being made to buy something. I wasn't rushed and left feeling confident my feet will be happy on race day :) Thanks Stan and thanks Coventry Runner.

Went on a Saturday and served by a really helpful lady. After trying on 10 plus trainers In another running shop and none of them correct she was able to understand where they weren't right and advise on a pair quickly! After trying on one pair of womens shoes she was able to advise I would be Better in men's shoes and it instantly solved the issue I was having. I only had to try on three pairs at coventry runner to find the right pair with one just for the treadmill! Would recommendthis shop great service and knowlede. Thank you

Hit or miss depending on who you get. I went in wanting to try on some shoes based on recommendations and to see how they fitted. The person I was served by was very cold from the get go, saying I shouldn't listen to recommendations. When I was offered and turned down having gait analysis (as I was only browsing), they basically wanted nothing to do with me. They were rude and negative, refusing to make any comment all because I didn't want to pay for the gait analysis. The second server however was very friendly and actually helpful, talking about my running experience and giving me another pair of shoes to try on. If it wasn't for this person, I would have given 1 star. Very disappointed after seeing previous positive reviews. I've never been served by someone so dismissive because I wouldn't use an optional service they offer. Clearly only wants to help if you're going to buy something there and then.

New to distance running (aged 66) I've managed to get myself a charity entry into The London Marathon 2023. My 4 year old ASICS shoes were worn out so time for some new ones. Coventry Runner carried out a gait analysis for me on their treadmill whilst wearing a pair of 'neutral' shoes, showed me the video of how my feet strike and roll as I run, and provided a range of running shoes to address my running style. Stan then put me back on the treadmill to show how the new shoes perform against the neutral ones. Stan, a runner himself, was patient, offered good advice and recommended some excellent shoes. having found 2 different styles that I felt comfortable in, I went ahead and bought both, with absolutely no pressure to purchase anything. I even got some additional good advice from Anne Marie regarding fund raising for the event. So pleased with the products and the service. Highly recommend this store and their staff.

Coventry Runner is the best local running shop by far. Great selection of trainers, clothing and all the running related accessories you'd ever need. All staff are experienced runners, so really know their stuff. You simply can't go wrong.
