   Can't review the food as we couldn't have any! I visited on a Saturday just after lunch rush with my parents and three year old. First off the single kiosk they had kept "updating" and wiping our order twice so we waited at the till to be served. The guy firstly charged my mum twice so he said she'd get a refund once the food was served. That to me was the first red flag. Why not refund right away? We waited and was given the refund for the duplicate order. We waited for 30 mins, at which point my mum asked the server how much longer it would be since we'd been waiting 30 mins. The server was very abrupt and rude and said "you haven't been waiting 30 mins, you're in a queue. Your food is next." We wait another ten minutes and because we'd literally ordered soup, a gluten free sandwich and a kids sandwich with a couple of drinks an extra ten minutes on top was ridiculous. My mum again asked how much longer, the server said," we're really busy. You're in a queue with other people. You'll have to wait." As you can imagine my three year old was getting antsy, trying her best not to blow her top. A couple come in a sit behind us. This is now 45 minutes after ordering in a cafe. The server shouts out" two soups. " Well that's what my parents ordered so we said finally, it's here. But NOOOO. The soup was for the couple behind us! At that point I stood up and said" right, I'm going to see what's happening. " As soon as we went to the server she said" you're foods not coming because I gave you the refund. " I replied," No, that was for the duplicate order. Why would we be sitting for 45 minutes and you told us twice it was being done? " She said" you asked for a refund so the food isn't coming. "At this point the original server we ordered with said that yes, it was a duplicate order but he" gave her the ticket. " I got mad and said something. The server said" there's no point in standing there swearing. " I replied" yes there is. We've been waiting 45 minutes for food that was never going to come. I have a three year old here bouncing off the ceiling. " She just stayed silent and gave my mum another refund and we went to M&S instead where we got food and drinks right away. (Also the gluten free scone was delicious!). Absolutely abhorrent behaviour from staff. I get they're busy but it takes no time at all to be polite. Middle finger to you, Asda café and the disgusting service you rode in on.

   Used to use the cafe quite often and never had an issue. You ordered at the counter and your order was served there and then. You maybe had to wait a couple of minutes for hot food. Used the new system today. Place you order electronically which takes an age to wait for everyone in front of you to use the single terminal. Placed the order and had to wait 50 minutes for a kids sandwich meal, coffee and prep packed gluten free cake. Chaotic system that leaves customers waiting an age for their order. Won't be using the cafe in the future.

   FANTASTIC STAFF, SHAME ABOUT THE NEW MENU!!! Saturday is "Cheat Day" so we go to the gym and go to Asda Cafe for a vegetarian fry-up. Today, there's a new system at Owlcotes and a new menu and it's terrible! The vegetarian sausages were changed to tasteless rubbish. The grilled tomato has been changed to canned peeled tomato, you now don't get enough sauces or butter (which has been changed to sunflower spread) for your toast and mine came with a slice of hard ciabatta instead of slices of toast. If this keeps up we won't be eating there again. Even the drinks came with the breakfast so we had to wait to serve ourselves and we could have been doing that while waiting for the food!

   I've always come here with my babies / children and always been happy. The staff are fantastic at handing things when it's busy. Always friendly and never seem to forget anything! The kids mel for £1 is obviously amazing value and the chips are so good!
