Sunday morning, with the Imperial Crown Hotel having no cooked breakfast for me and trying to pass off a wee box of shreddies as a meal, I found myself at The Shay Cafe. Ordered a Bacon and Egg barm and a strong black coffee. What I got two minutes later was a massive, delicious and done just right bacon and egg barm and a very strong black coffee, served with a smile that considerably brightened up my day. The cafe was busy at 0800 on a Sunday morning, tells you all you need to know. Top scran.

As in the area popped in for breakfast. Was pleasantly surprised large breakfast as pictured £7.00 was cooked fresh and everything was hot unlike a lot of cafes. Sausage budget however was edible. I would visit again if in area

First time back in a long while. Great breakfast at an excellent price. Worth a go if you haven't been before. Update 12/3 - been back. Food still grand but not when 2 folk have to eat at different times because of order problems. #gutted but reduced stars
