“Shhh a hidden gem. Very warm & friendly service with a smile. Food freshly prepared, locally sourced. I had a jacket potato with Longley farm cottage cheese & red onion. Good selection of cold drinks & decaf latte lovely ☺.”

“As in the area popped in for breakfast. Was pleasantly surprised large breakfast as pictured £7.00 was cooked fresh and everything was hot unlike a lot of cafes. Sausage budget however was edible. I would visit again if in area”

“Great spot for a spot of dinner. I had homemade cottage pie with onion and cheese mash topping, lashings of gravy, chips and peas! Absolutely massive portions. The cafe had a lively atmosphere with plenty of locals and tradesmen coming in for coffee and butties. The staff were brilliant; polite, courteous and very accommodating. If you're looking for great quality food at a reasonable price you can't go far wrong with Care @ 19!”

“Just love this cafe , proper home cooked style food . I had a hot beef and onion sandwich with gravy and chips . It was very tasty , the chips and gravy were the best I've had . Lovely staff and food brought to you quickly and piping hot . Definitely recommend this place and good prices”

“Admittedly I hadn't been to Shibden Park in about 30 years, so it was nice to call in here for breakfast on our bank holiday weekend visit to my homeland. My partner had the large breakfast, which for the price was excellent. Lovely hashbrown! My teen daughter had the medium and I had a bagel and creme cheese. We have cappuccinos and an English tea. Plenty of seating outside and in, dog friendly both inside and out too. I am pleased I got to experience the cafe and park again in a less busy climate. Beautiful place full of memories ✨️”

“On a late Sunday morning in an unfamiliar area, this was a great find for a hungry couple. Basic seating, a few crumbs on the seat, and an smell of fry up ambience... BUT absolutely the very best toasties that we have ever had in our lives! And for the price, possibly the best value for money in Halifax (later dinner in a local Italian with raving reviews, left us flat...). We will most definitely return when we are back in the area. Thank you!”

“Came here few months a go and had afternoon tea for my dad's 75th birthday. What a lovely selection of things. Everything was so nice too. Some of the cakes were the best I ever had. Been back once since and had breakfast and again was so nice I certainly will be back again some time. Good service and lovely food.”

“This review is for Morrisons Illingworth. The food was better, & the portion a little more, than I expected (I would not have got dessert had I realised). It was later afternoon/early evening & I feared they may have stopped serving... Not only did I manage to get a meal, but the staff were outstanding; they could not have been better! “For a coffee place it should go without saying that the coffee here is excellent (and it is!), but the brunch/breakfast options here are what make this the kind of place I wish we had round the corner - had probably the nicest almond croissant I've ever had here, and that was essentially a starter for this banging brisket eggs benedict. Sometimes an eggs benedict can be disappointingly dull, but they nailed the hollandaise and every element was spot on. Looking for an excuse to find myself in Halifax again!”

“Lovely pub with lots of seating areas including cozy nooks and bright tables by the windows. Lots of beer options on tap, it was hard to choose! The bitter and stout were delicious. During the weekend there were parking spots outside the pub on the street.”
