“The Pub is really nice, the drink quality was very good, and the bar/food service was very good/excellent. The food itself for me was fantastic Tandoori Chicken Skewers were cooked really well, the taste and presentation of my meal was fantastic the taste of the sprinkled paprika on the fries were excellent, salad excellent, yoghurt sauce excellent. only two minor niggles of this dish Sala Sauce I personally thought was not nice (usually my fav) put to one side as was spoiling the dish, the thickness of the naan too much, 2 small naans, or one thinner one preferred, but the Naan served was lovelly. The dish was excellent value for money.... I just want to point out that the two minor niggles are minor issues, one of the best pub meals I have ever had in a long time of this type. I would still give an overall rating of 4.8 out of 5.... I have still voted 5 stars in my review as next time I come I do hope the polite feedback of this dish is taken on board and again would reorder the same dish as everyone on our table commented on my dish and how fabulously it looked.... You cannot get a better compliment than everyone asking to try and saying it tasted lovely. THANK YOU TO VENUE AND ALL THE STAFF, THIS IS A GENUINE PAYING CUSTOMER (WELL MY PARTNER PAID), AND I WILL BE BACK AGAIN. PS: A shout out to Eleanor, she was very polite, professional and was serving clients with the utmost professionalism and politeness. Credit to the venue.”

“Came to Halifax for the day from a week's holiday in Hebden Bridge. Came for late lunch/early dinner and was pretty empty. A few of our party went for the 2 courses for £18 which was good value. We had the mozzarella sticks which are always a crowd pleaser. The beef tacos were really tasty with great crunch from the pomegranate seeds - a lot more filling than expected. The chicken fajitas were also full of flavour. Good pints of Sam Adams. We had a gluten free member and the staff were extremely accommodating (bringing the manager over to take their order specifically felt slightly too much but we understand why). Overall a really great meal, despite no tequila and it feeling like there was an earthquake every 5 mins (assuming the cinema was the culprit!).”

“Had a lovely time at Denman’s the other night. I loved the atmosphere of the place and the food was absolutely delicious! It’s all small plates so be ready to order a few plates to feel full, it’s totally worth it though. The cocktails were amazing! I recommend Pornstar Martini cocktail, it was amazing and the best plate I tried was the Ox cheek. I paint places I visit and love ❤️”

“Just love this cafe , proper home cooked style food . I had a hot beef and onion sandwich with gravy and chips . It was very tasty , the chips and gravy were the best I've had . Lovely staff and food brought to you quickly and piping hot . Definitely recommend this place and good prices”

“Booked on the Sunday morning of the meal. It's definitely one of the best Sunday lunch experiences I've had in Haliax. From the very start, the staff were very welcoming, the service was excellent, and the food was beautiful. I can't recommend this place enough.”

“Fantastic find for an excellent meal before a concert at the impressive Piece Hall. Staff were excellent as was the food and reasonable prices, for really good sized portions. Their pizza bread as a starter is highly recommended. Would definitely return and I don't often say that. Great value early bird menu as well, and very popular, which speaks for itself!”

“Been here multiple times now and each time is just as amazing as the last. The food is so incredible and feels so luxurious without the high-end price tag. The kitchen is an open space and I love watching the chefs work as they prepare the food. The staff are always super friendly and up for a laugh. I can't recommend this place highly enough. “The food is excellent also affordable. The beer prices are Leeds prices £5 a pint for Coors. Two real ales- Black Sheep Blond and Black Sheep Best at £4.70 a pint. Great service . I would not recommend it as a local unless you have deep pockets..”
