   This was my first visit, found out when we got there it had just reopened with new management. The owners and staff were very friendly, the food was really good and good value. I had the paté and pie of the day, the portion was proper and the chips were excellent!

   Booked on the Sunday morning of the meal. It's definitely one of the best Sunday lunch experiences I've had in Haliax. From the very start, the staff were very welcoming, the service was excellent, and the food was beautiful. I can't recommend this place enough.

   Lovely warm welcome to the restaurant and bar, very clean inside and out. Wood burner and atmosphere seems very relaxed. Food is home cooked, delicious from the first bite to the last. Highly recommend the fish and chips. Will be returning in the future.

   Today I took my nan for afternoon tea at The Prospect. She lives near by and we had seen a Groupon offer and some good reviews. What we actually got far surpassed our expectations. I had communicated before hand online and found the communication excellent and prompt. We arrived at 1pm for our booking and was greeted by a very friendly lady ( who later we found to be the owners daughter) she told us to pick a table we would like and came straight away with tea and coffee. She was ever so friendly, and When our afternoon tea arrived it was huge and  could have fed 4! The cakes and scones were lovely and a great choice but the sandwiches!! Wow what a selection. We were offered more tea and coffee throughout our visit and it was nice to see the place looking so clean and tidy. It was warm and welcoming and the owners really are making the best effort to attract customers. Others around us were eating off the regular menu and it looked gorgeous! We can't wait to to back to have a meal. It was a bargain with the Groupon offer but would have been still value for money without it. I almost didn't want to use it because I felt they deserved every penny. We will be back to try the rest of the menu very soon. ( ps don't let the roadworks put you off! There is access in boothtown near range bank which we found better to use actually)

   My son and I called in today for a Sunday dinner. It is the first time we have in since it went under new management. The food and service was exceptional. It was so much better than when it was under the old management. I will be returning and recommending the prospect to friends and relatives. It was excellent

   Decent pub, good drinks nice Sunday lunch shame they don't offer the full menu on Sunday. Also didn't like the fact that the staff needed our table for another booking so felt rushed to leave. But overall a good place but would not go back personally.
