“Had a lovely time at Denman’s the other night. I loved the atmosphere of the place and the food was absolutely delicious! It’s all small plates so be ready to order a few plates to feel full, it’s totally worth it though. The cocktails were amazing! I recommend Pornstar Martini cocktail, it was amazing and the best plate I tried was the Ox cheek. I paint places I visit and love ❤️”

“At last! A burger restaurant in Halifax that prides itself on the quality of ingredients instead of its size of burger. No ridiculous towering burgers full of rubbish here, instead perfectly cooked smashed burgers with toppings that compliment the meat so the beef takes centre stage. Accompanied by great skin on fries I also opted to have a salted caramel shake, wonderful. There is no doubt their concept is very similar to Five Guys, albeit five guys would never open in a small town like Halifax. Can’t wait to go back!!! Love it!”

“Great Chinese. Very friendly & welcoming! Sharon the manager is a breath or fresh air & really goes above & beyond for her customer base! Lovely freshly prepared food. Only gripe is the cost of a portion of noodles, @ £7, they certainly don't cost that much in real life, so a bit of an issue with that one. Overall a great place with great food & a lovely atmosphere. Welldone.”

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at this cozy gem, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations. From the warm welcome at the door to the beautifully plated dishes, every detail was thoughtfully executed. The menu offers a perfect balance of creativity and comfort I tried the house special (you must!), and it was bursting with flavor. Portions were generous, and the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh. The service was attentive without being intrusive our server was knowledgeable and kind. “We decided to stop by for a quick curry before heading to the fireworks in Elland tonight. We were not let down! We opted for the buffet. Poppadoms, followed by the hugest mixed starter for two (which we couldn't finish!) and a choice of six different main dishes with sides, at a bargain price! We couldn't fault the service, hospitality or food. Go and try the buffet yourselves! We will be back.”

“Great location as at a function in The Arches. Caution on parking, good but payable as not part of the Travelodge. However doesn't seem obvious you have to pay so I didnt notice at first and hopefully haven't got a charge. Rooms a little tired but perfectly clean. No breakfast but cafes right outside.”

“Came to Halifax for the day from a week's holiday in Hebden Bridge. Came for late lunch/early dinner and was pretty empty. A few of our party went for the 2 courses for £18 which was good value. We had the mozzarella sticks which are always a crowd pleaser. The beef tacos were really tasty with great crunch from the pomegranate seeds - a lot more filling than expected. The chicken fajitas were also full of flavour. Good pints of Sam Adams. We had a gluten free member and the staff were extremely accommodating (bringing the manager over to take their order specifically felt slightly too much but we understand why). Overall a really great meal, despite no tequila and it feeling like there was an earthquake every 5 mins (assuming the cinema was the culprit!).”
