   The room was very small, dingy and needed cleaning properly. The TV did not work and the screen had a large crack. Defineately not worth £89 a night.

   Great location as at a function in The Arches. Caution on parking, good but payable as not part of the Travelodge. However doesn't seem obvious you have to pay so I didnt notice at first and hopefully haven't got a charge. Rooms a little tired but perfectly clean. No breakfast but cafes right outside.

   For £36 for the night what's not too like about it. It was comfortable, clean and a good size room. Be aware though the parking is on private land which is only free on weekends, to avoid getting a ticket from 6am Monday morning buy your ticket the night before, it wasn't expensive

   Located in former mill, relatively quiet area with plenty of parking. Very nice Thai restaurant next door and many options in short driving distance. No air conditioning but fan is provided. Comfortable bed and good shower. Real toilet rolls in bathroom instead of individual tissues.

   Had a really good night. Quiet room on fifth floor, quite surprised that there was a road not far from the window but I guess that happens when the lovely old mill building is set into a hill. Didn't notice any traffic noise or noise from other rooms. Check in was easy. We had a lovely big family room. Everything in the bathroom worked properly, beds were good. Good location for Piece Hall gig.

   All the staff were very pleasant and made me feel very welcomed. I had also left my wallet in the room and I was phoned a couple of hours later telling me they have found it so thank you to the cleaning staff for their honesty! Would definitely recommend.

   I arrived late last night, Travelodge allow check ins up to midnight, a very useful service, many hotels insist on earlier arrival. My stay was brightened up by the very friendly and helpful receptionist. Aga has superb customer service skills. If I was in the area again I would choose this venue.

   The staff at Halifax Travelodge are so lovely. From the moment I arrived, they were so welcoming & friendly. I saw 4 ladies at different times & all of them offered the same professional service. My room was warm & comfortable & very clean.The bed was very comfy. I had a breakfast box each morning, to start the day. I had travelled from Cornwall, back to my hometown. The Yorkshire friendliness at the hotel did not disappoint. When I return, I will stay at Travelodge, Halifax. Thank you ladies. Xxx

   It’s not a 5 star hotel obviously but for the price and location you can’t not give it 5 stars. Hotel was clean and comfy. Just down the road from town. Plenty parking. Would recommend and happy to stay there again.

   We were let down by an AirBnB we had booked so we arrived at the Travelodge late on a Saturday without any notice. We were greeted by Joy, the friendly receptionist, but she informed us that the rooms had all been booked and we were unlikely to find anything else nearby because Paloma Faith was playing in the Peace Hall and the entirety of the towns rooms had been booked up. We we were already exhausted after a family wedding and a bad experience with a local AirBnB slumlord, and we headed out the door dreading the idea of attempting the long journey home. Instead, Joy, the absolute star, asked us to wait a minute while she made some phone-calls. She went above and beyond for me and my mother and was able to ascertain that due to some technicality there was a room available if we were willing to wait for her quickly have it prepared. We were delighted. We were saved by Joy and the excellent service she provided to us that night. We couldn't thank her enough. The room was great with all the amenities you'd expect and the hotel building really looks striking in its refurbished historical building. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again when I'm next in town.
