I had to write this review as soon as we left. We only live over the road and I have to say the owner, the staff, the food and drink were beyond all expectations. We enjoyed every mouthful of our Christmas dinner and the service, the people and the atmosphere. In all the years of eating out I have never felt so welcome and had a service which surpasses theirs. I would like to thank everyone for such a pleasant and unforgettable meal. I will certainly recommend this hotel to anyone and we will be having our wedding reception there. The beer conaseaurs will be glad to know they keep a good pint. Merry Christmas to you all and keep up the good work!

As part of our work’s Christmas party, we booked for the second year running – wow, what a night! The team at Lane Head Hotel Bar & Restaurant in Brighouse went the extra mile to ensure we had a fantastic evening. The Christmas menu was absolutely perfect. I had the traditional turkey with all the trimmings – the portion size, taste, and quality were a real credit to them. The room was beautifully festive, and they even had a piano player performing Christmas tunes, which added such a lovely touch. Everyone was catered for, including team members with dietary requirements, which was greatly appreciated. We were made to feel so welcome from start to finish. A massive thank you to the whole team at Lane Head Hotel – the perfect place for a festive celebration!

We had some family over from Dublin for the weekend as it as my dads birthday. We stayed here last year with no issues. Friday night was amazing, no issues, the staff were lovely and had a really good night. When it came to the Saturday (my dads birthday celebrations) there was only a few of us and it started off really good, we were aloud to decorate, bring own snacks / food in and was given the works phone to put our own music on. Brill. The bar staff, ( think his name is Tom) seemed stressed as soon as he turned up. He took the music off us, which isn’t an issue but put slow music on which downed the vibe. - we were the only people in the pub . Everything was going great until around 10.30, he told us it was last orders. We had only been sat there 3 hours. Then proceeded to tell us he is only doing last orders because we are all being rude. We were all confused as the only time we spoke to him was to order drinks. Does not seem very happy in his job. As I said everything was brill apart from Saturday night. Such a shame.

Room was very outdated - the statement about the hotel being completely renovated last year is very misleading as my room (11) had furniture from the 70s/80s, same for the fittings and the carpet too I think which was also filthy. The bed was that lumpy I had to sleep on top of the duvet. Lock on door was iffy, didn’t lock from inside and someone tried to let themselves into my room early Sat morning with no shout out or knock. I had a wedge under the door so they couldnt but when I went to check out I was locked in. I tried the 4 numbers given to me as hotel unmanned of an evening/morning -the first number for person on site was 1 number too short and invalid, the admin number was too long and again invalid, another number was no longer in use and invalid and I went to voicemail on the last one. After much banging on the door and shouting the cleaner opened it. She said she had not tried to open it earlier so as a lone female traveller it’s a bit scary wondering who was trying to get in the room and what if I hadn’t put a wedge under the door….thr manager called back when I was halfway home but disconnected after 1 ring. Anyways see the photos they don’t lie. In response to my review on booking.com Linzi from the hotel decided to call me a liar and personal insults too appreciate you having trolled my Facebook. Said it wasn’t dirty (see photos) that it was a 17th century building (I love old buildings but no excuse for the manky carpets and old fittings. Said it wasn’t the cleaner who let themselves in - possibly but they said no and why would they not knock or answer when I was shouting out to them? So all in all a vile and personal response to a factually correct review - try the numbers, no good telling me how there are people on site if the numbers provided are wrong and you are stuck in your not very nice room. Reviews tell you what could be done better - but Linzi was not amused and safe to say doesn’t care about the state of the place or the helpful info sheet that has 3 out of 4 incorrect numbers on it. On the plus side, despite being old and outdated there was clean sheets, fresh clean towels and plenty of tea coffee and little touches such as toothbrushes and mini toothpastes and tea making facilities (although cups had bits of toilet roll stuck in where seemingly cleaned or dried with bog roll) She then deleted the review off Facebook - twice! Wonder how many other poor ones she has deleted?!

Stopped there for 1 night, when I first got there I thought this is a bit dated and could do with a makeover, but I was pleasently surprised, the hosts were very nice and friendly, the room was just what I needed a large double bed with tea and coffee making facilities, a shower which at first I thought omg this isn't going to be a good shower but actually it was one of the best showers I've had whilst staying away from home, and to top it off there's was a Thai restaurant attached to the hotel, and the food was absolutely amazing, I'd definitely recommend it and I'd definitely be staying there again if I'm ever in the area

Family run hotel. Very friendly and cannot do enough for you. Large spacious room. Yes they need updating but this is a very old building and requires updates which of course will cost. Excellent value for money. Breakfast are good and only cost Β£5.

Have been here a few times for food and drinks. Set in a 600 year old building the atmosphere and history is fantastic. As you walk I to the main reception area there is a well in the floor. The kids loved looking down it and the history of what was there before. The staff are so friendly and can't so enough for you. (I can't rate the room as I have not stayed here but my family have and asked me to give it 4 stars) now the food O.M.G the food is absolutely incredible the fresh flavours if you like Thai food then you will love this place. Everything is fresh and tasty. Will definitely be returning and will be booking for Christmas.

Had my son's birthday party here, the buffet was amazing and the staff are all extremely helpful and friendly. Bar was really good value too with lots of choices. They let us set the room up how we wanted it and provided a music system so we could play our own playlist. The garden is beautiful too . Thanks to all for a great night.
