We didn’t stay in the hotel, but went here as our last meal of your weekend and it was such a great find. The restaurant was so cosy, the staff were lovely, and the food was amazing. I wish we had taken pictures. Would definitely recommend a visit to Shibden Mill Inn is you have the opportunity.
It was our 3rd time to Shibden mill inn for a meal last night and it never disappoints. The most wonderful food, always something different and superb fine dining, beautifully presented and so many exquisite tastes. Staff are lovely too and provide exceptional service. We also love the fact that no one rushes you, the perfect balance of being attentive but leaving you alone to enjoy your meal and relax. We’ll be back again and again! Thank you
The food here is exceptionally good. It’s classic gastropub fare, but made with high-quality ingredients and cooked perfectly. Beautifully presented too, with great service and a lovely atmosphere. I didn’t love the vibe upstairs—it felt a bit flat—so I’d recommend asking for a table downstairs to enjoy the open fire, the beautiful architecture, and the buzz.
Absolutely superb. A night away with friends. Wish I'd known how big the lunch portion was, nearly overfilled myself before dinner! The evening meal in the restaurant was utterly superb, the flavours were incredible. Right up my street. Fabulous ambience. Rooms small but very comfortable. Staff extremely polite and friendly. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. Definitely the tastiest black pudding I've ever tasted.
Great business evening at the Shibden Mill Inn, where the food, wine, and service were all exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and well looked after. The evening got off to a slightly underwhelming start with the aperitif, which didn’t quite meet the standard of the rest of the experience. However, things quickly turned around with a selection of nibbles, including the freshly baked jalapeño bread was a standout. The spiral like roll was packed with flavour and the perfect balance of heat and softness. For the starters, the stone bass served with crispy chicken skin and Thai inspired butter sauce was absolutely stunning, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. The chateaubriand followed and it was delicious. The tenderness and quality of the meat is just amazing. Paired with well executed sides and sauce made it a delicious and satisfying dish. All in all, it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening with fantastic food and a warm, relaxed atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back.
We ate here on Tuesday Evening, it was brilliant! The food and service was superb, it wasn't too busy inside but it still had an atmosphere. The menu was inventive, the food beautifully presented and tasted delicious. I had the Monkfish starter, the Hen Of The Woods Mac N Cheese and the Parsnip Parfait. You pay more than the average for restaurants in this area but it is worth it. It truly deserves the five stars. I can't wait to come back and try this restaurant again.
Absolutely great night at Shibden Mill. Every member of staff was amazing. Super helpful and friendly without exception. We had dinner and breakfast and both were amazing. The atmosphere downstairs was great with a cozy pub feel whereas the upstairs restaurant was more formal but also lovely. Breakfast was a buffet plus a wide range of hot options. We had the full English which was delicious! It was just absolutely great.
Really fabulous stay here this weekend. Room was lovely, staff were so friendly and helpful and the taster menu was superb. The matching wine flight was particularly good. Then finished off with as good a breakfast as I've had anywhere. Will definitely be back.
A very enjoyable stay at Shibden. Idyllic location, beautiful and comfortable room, cozy atmosphere, very nice friendly and professional people. The food was also excellent, we took the tasting menu and loved it. The breakfast was topnotch too. It's rare to find a place so well managed and with great service. Could have stayed a whole week and will definitely return.
Made a reservation today for Sunday lunch my father had Soup of the day and the Braised Blade of Beef which he really enjoyed. I opted for the traditional Roast Beef dinner and I’m sorry to say was left very disappointed starting with Parfait of duck which was lovely but served with a brioche bun which was particularly dry detracting from a lovely starter. The main roast the beef was perfect again though the meal let down by serving a dry well over cooked Yorkshire pudding and undercooked roast potatoes. These are small things you can let slide but for the price they are charging you expect the best every time. So sorry left disappointed over all place is amazing staff are friendly but some quality control needed on the food leaving the kitchen.
