Great selection of beers. Felt comfortable as a line visitor. I will be back! An i came back. Very cosy on a wet winter's day

One of my favourites in Halifax. Plenty of choice but can be a bit on the pricey side, also some Belgians in the fridge but couldn't see a price list anywhere. Decor is like an old library with plenty of nooks to hide away in, my favourite spot is up the stairs in a comfy armchair as I usually don't time it right to get one of the good tables downstairs.

Thoughtful choices of beer and cider and well-arranged environment. My friend and I found this place when we had a little break from an academic conference trip and were charmed by the Mango cider recommended by the friendly staff. A must visit when coming to Halifax.

This is a must if you are visiting halifax. A huge selection of beers try a sample before you buy. Have a pie with your pint. Stunning decorwith plenty of space explore, lots of quirky rooms. Relaxing atmosphere and dimly lit rooms. Ideal if you are visiting the Theater next door. A gem of a place not to be missed. The VCBC will not disappoint.

Lovely pub with lots of seating areas including cozy nooks and bright tables by the windows. Lots of beer options on tap, it was hard to choose! The bitter and stout were delicious. During the weekend there were parking spots outside the pub on the street.

A great find. Lovely atmosphere and deco. Full of character. Plenty of quality ales. Had a lovely pint of porter. Friendly staff who gave our dogs a treat (with or permission). If we didn't live in Cornwall we'd most definitely be regulars.

What a nice place for a craft beer. I visited in the early afternoon and had a beer or two. Super cool spot with a wide selection of beers and styles. I stopped here and grabbed two beers, a sunset overdrive, pina colada sour, from vocation brewery and a gardens of green, citra and simcoe pale, from burnt mill brewery. Both beers, very well kept and were great. The bar staff were helpful and informative. The venue is really cool, with retro furniture and a bluesy soundtrack. Would definitely visit again.

The exterior does not reflect how lovely the inside of this bar is. A lovely and comfortable bar to enjoy. I had the Tropical Storm by Black Storm brewery. A hazy beer and very refreshing although I prefer my beer fined and clear. Definitely worth the visit.
