Arrived after a nice walk around sibden hall and surrounding areas. Placed our order, was looking forward to having the turkey baguette with a warm drink to warm up, would not let me pay with cash it was card payment only, which I didnt have a card on me. Had one very upset child who couldn't have his drink and food, and two cold and hungry adults.

All those who do not rate this review do not have a soft heart. Their ice creams were very delicious. One thing I want to highlight is Pheobe and his colleagues helped me get my phone which I left and they were so polite and friendly and answered my calls promptly. I would appreciate their sincerity in work by helping me as I am from India and would have been devastated losing my phone. Thanks phoebe.

After a wander round the grounds of Shibden Hall it seemed a suitable reward to walk down to the cafe on the river for a coffee. Saw the scones and decided to add to the tray. Excellent coffee, Divine scone and lovely atmosphere and staff. Views not too shabby either.

Admittedly I hadn't been to Shibden Park in about 30 years, so it was nice to call in here for breakfast on our bank holiday weekend visit to my homeland. My partner had the large breakfast, which for the price was excellent. Lovely hashbrown! My teen daughter had the medium and I had a bagel and creme cheese. We have cappuccinos and an English tea. Plenty of seating outside and in, dog friendly both inside and out too. I am pleased I got to experience the cafe and park again in a less busy climate. Beautiful place full of memories ✨️

I wanted to write a review on this place because I'd read a couple bad reviews and... I don't understand how you could rate this place low! This place is great, great location, the scones are TO DIE FOR and the rest of the food was lovely, hearty portions. I would recommend this place to anyone, we had the burger and the savoury tart— we were not disappointed. Definately plan to return at some point.

The food and drink is just average and way overpriced considering that its nothing special. £2.30 for cup of tea and £5.90 for bacon and egg sandwich was too expensive for what you get.. but it's a nice cafe, seemed clean/tidy, the staff were fine. A lovely park.

Hmmm, was torn between a 3 and 4 star.... was messy with huge clods of food on the floor, bit chimps' tea party-esque. Decided to be kind and err to a 4 star as twas a nice day and they'd probably been busy. Note that though they may be open til 4.30pm and 5pm, their kitchens close about 3pm, so you can't purchase any hot food or even sandwiches after 3. There were some small scones left, but at nearly £4 each, promptly replaced as too expensive. Big mug of tea though that was nice. Whilst Shibden Hall have Yorkshire Tea, here at this café it is Tetley's - not a patch on Yorkshire, so I had a green tea instead. Large, lofty and spacious inside with plenty of outdoor seating and good views of the Mere and parkland. If you are after hot food, go before 3pm.

Rude staff with couldn't care less attitude. Bought drinks and snacks for 5 people. All vwry very over priced.. Took a cake back as it was stale and a chocolate bar had to be thrown away as it was also stale but didn't want the hassle of returning it. When we took the cake back the young girl serving could not care less and just picked up another cake. We obviously declined it and got our money back. We bought an ice lolly but had to take that back as it was not set. Turned out that the freezer for the ice creams had not been turned on so everything had melted. It was all an abuse shambles but the worst thing was definitely the young girls serving who seemed to find customers an inconvenience as we were disturbing their chatting .

Lovely setting, in the park before or after you visit, The main attraction, it was a wonderful day, sitting outside enjoying the sun and having some lunch and a coffee. Really enjoyable.
