Absolutely rubbish and false pricing...menus say one thing yet you are charged more at the till...very lame excuse given but nonetheless you feel cheated. Poor quality food and equally poor service. Please avoid as better cafes elsewhere.
Terrible attention to detail. It took three tries for them to find me a clean glass. The food arrived cold and partly cooked with missing ingredients. Staff seemed completely disinterested in service, quality, making an effort or sincerely apologizing. This was our second visit. Don't think we'll be making a third.
Really wanted to like this place but honestly its a solid average which would.have been poor if it weren't for the polite staff. They don't clear tables, so many people were bringing plates left at the tables to the desk. The furniture they have is unsuitable, big gaps where food can get stuck, wobbly tables because they don't have adjustable feet. Its just abit poor all round. Food was also average and took 55 mins to come which on a Saturday is not great business. Staff should.be on it faster and with abit more enthusiasm.
Stylish interior and a brilliant menu. Staff who served us seemed nice as well. Average prices I would say. It was really pleasing to see so many vegetarian and vegan food options on the menu as well. The cakes we had were superb and they sell some very different drinks as well. Would have given them a 5 star rating but it was very smoky and smog filled inside due to all of the cooking and grilling going on. Better ventilation and extraction is needed to improve the air quality because sometimes it got to the back of your throat and it stifled the atmosphere. If they sort this out then it will be 5/5 all day long.
Not too bad possibly a tad over priced and the bread wasn't fresh as I'd of liked. Tomatoes were a little over priced. Sausages were good quality also was the bacon. I had a latte and it was pretty average. After we had finished breakfast we were going to get some take out cake waited a minute or so without being served so left without the cake. Would I go back ? Yes I'd have toast instead of bread. And defo want to try the cake.
I ordered a toasted cheese sandwich and after a 15 minute wait it arrived not toasted so I asked for it to be toasted. No apology from the waitress. When the sandwich returned it had clearly just been stuck under a grill, the lettuce was completely soggy and the cheese barely melted. I didn’t want to complain as I was out with a friend and felt it had spoilt our meet up enough already. I have noticed over my last couple of visits that this cafe is nowhere near as friendly or efficient as when it first opened and I will not be returning.
quiet barely any customers and the guy who tuck our order had an attitude off the bat because two of the three of us had takeaway coffees from somewhere else, we ordered 3 sandwiches to eat outside that came to £17 was expecting good quality artisan food by the presentation of the premises but we were all very disappointed The Ciabattas were dry with very little filling, barely melted cheese and tasteless. With a sad looking side salad. The waitress who brought us our food didn't even make eye contact and was abrupt
Came here few months a go and had afternoon tea for my dad's 75th birthday. What a lovely selection of things. Everything was so nice too. Some of the cakes were the best I ever had. Been back once since and had breakfast and again was so nice I certainly will be back again some time. Good service and lovely food.
Stopped in “on spec” for a quick lunch during a visit to Halifax. This café is nice and light with a good choice of eating options. The girls serving were pleasant and efficient. The food is well priced and nicely presented. They also have a good selection of wine to purchase if you’d like to.
