Probably the worst meal we have ever had ! Had fish & chips the chips were black & burnt , the batter was rock hard and literally had no fish inside couldn’t eat it only wish we had asked for a refund , not sure how they dare serve it , won’t be back.

The steak pie was rock hard, dry and burnt. There were no beans to go with the kids meals - so we went to the coop up the road - bought two tins and delivered them to the kitchen ourselves! We waited over an hour for the food. The lady serving us was nice, but on her own she was struggling to serve the drinkers, serve food, and to fit the kids ice creams on the table because she hadn’t cleared any plates. The pub was warm and busy -

Called in today. Was very quiet. Ordered our food. Admittedly we did wait a lot longer than expected but the food that came from the kitchen was beautiful. Definitely worth the wait and 10/10 to the girl that served us. Will definitely recommend

We came in for a drink and to watch the match. Lovely atmosphere, food being served looked delicious. Only let down was the barmaid, couldn't remember our drinks order and was slow. We have been here previously and had no issues with service.

Went to an Christmas dinner organised by my club. Booked weeks ago When arrived was told there was no food as Chef had cut his finger. Nobody rang organiser to tell them this. So 16 people turned up and was told no food. So complete waste for a lot of us had travelled 1 hour or more to meet there. Being close to Christmas there was nowhere near available. Also doubted story as if Chef was injured there would still be something there as most things are cooked/ prepared in advance. And not just by 1 person. And if Chef did that would of been first thing in morning as they started to prepare meals so plenty of time to ring to explain and give time to try rearrange.

Nice big pub, with a load of seating. Good spot to either start or finish a little Farsley pub crawl. Decent beer selection, pretty standard pricing.

After waiting 10 minutes at the bar we were told our seats were in the back and left to our own devices. The food took less time to arrive after ordering. The veg; for two, was in a dish and the utensils to take it out were the ones we were using to eat with. Highly unhygienic. The gammon tasted like it was out of a bag, rubbery, and not a real roast. The mash was solid. The roasts were bland, reheated. The gravy boat, unused, we watched being given to another table on our departure. £30 with a pint and a half to drink. They should be ashamed. Not once asked if everything was ok. The salt was taken from the table halfway through to be used in the kitchen. Shame really as it was the only thing on the table with taste. New chef……really!! Must be on cheap wages!!
