Walked over to this cafe having never been before. It was about 1: 05 there was 3 tables of 4, we asked for a menu and were told a wait of 45 mins which was no issue. Two people went up to order before us, we went up again to order our food and were told that the wait was over an hour and they weren’t talking food orders. So we ordered a coffee, they said no scones available. So we the waiting 20 mins for coffee. An additional 4 people came in all to be told no food, just coffee and cake. We sat and talked for approx 1 hour, 6 plates of food were served during this time. Around 2;15 the started taking food orders again, and a plate of scones were brought out. The staff didn’t ask us whether we then wanted to order and there was no apology for any of the poor service. Wouldn’t return or recommend.

We visited Mint and Ginger with an elderly relative just before Christmas to enjoy M&G's afternoon tea. Although the premises was quite when we arrived (early Sunday afternoon) the staff were very engaging and made us feel welcome. The afternoon tea was superb. The sandwiches were freshly prepared and extremely tasty. The cheese scones and fruit scones were home baked and served warm. There were a wide choice of cakes served with the afternoon tea. Everything was very tasty, staff very friendly and welcoming. We were even provided with a 'take-away' box for the sandwiches and cakes we couldn't eat! Would I return- yes most certainly. PS By the time we left, M&G was very busy - which we were delighted to see - this is a hidden gem.

Mint and Ginger Café has become a regular stop for us on our cycling routes. The coffee is consistently excellent, and the cakes are just as good – the perfect pick-me-up during a ride. Friendly atmosphere and a reliable favourite every time.

My favorite cafe to take friends to. Always great food and good service. Nice peaceful country atmosphere. Always a large selection of delicious cakes it's so hard to choose what to have. Had a jacket potato today which was sooo nice.

Had lunch here after a lovely walk. Very welcoming, friendly staff, food was gorgeous, coffee was huge and delicious. My son didn't want any mayo on his sandwich so they made him a special version from scratch! Couldn't resist taking a sausage roll and some cake home for later too! Thank you xx

Came here for afternoon tea. Fabulous food and a really friendly welcome from the owners. Lots of outdoor seating for walkers/cyclists and doggos. We had the standard afternoon tea which was eye-bogglingly generous. We were so keen to tuck in that we'd already eaten a couple of sandwiches and sausage roll slices before remembering to take a photo! We'll be coming back very, very soon ❤️
